Tried to leave zero but not allowed. 1 star feels extremely generous! Old school lawyer who thinks he can play by his own rules. Doesn’t return phone calls. Also doesn’t disclose that he is often also the client or related to / linked to the client.

Says it all. Fraud/Theft... Steer clear from Martin Gabriel at all costs. He should never be allowed to practice ever again.

Reported to the law society. I will never forgive them for the way they treated me. I hope they are ashamed of themselves. I would recommend Satan over these people!!!

I was well and truly ripped off by this firm. They told me £5000 to finish my case. Basically after 6 months they had done very little and I had already paid them £17000 one of the owners paul but no second names I'm afraid I can't put on here I don't think. Came to my house and in front of my wife told us something and a few months later said he had said nothing. From the start because I'd had bad experiences with solicitors I asked could I record our meeting. Paul seemed very uneasy I mentioned this and asked me not too and said everything was being wrote down which it was by his secretary. When we got a copy there was no mention of the £5000 fee but was changed to around £10000 to take to court. When I told paul this he said. No problem I'm your solicitor if you don't trust me we can change it. Putting me on the spot like he must have done to many other clients I just said no its ok but just letting you know. Then we got our 1st months bill from them £4700 I called and complained that they said £5000 to finish the case. Paul said everything basically done only a few letters really to do.....next month was around £3000. And this went on till it reached £17000. The final straw was a letter saying £27000 to finish the case. Totally and utterly rip off merchants. This was from the Liverpool branch what has since gone into liquidation...no surprise. ..They also had this firm in Cardiff I believe and this must be the same people as there can't be other firms called beech jones De Lloyd. I ended up going to another barrister solicitor who finished my case for £7500.

Same happened to me, mine was £25000.00 .. Another firm of solicitors took this firm to court had my money back plus disbursements.

Paul Anthony Dumbleton has since been struck off. ( 04 Jan 2018: Case 11605/ 2017 - Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal) Note he is a former bankrupt and has also held roles both in finance/ investment companies and acted as a director in a number of companies.

Excellent service with Competent Friendly People. The charges were given up front and very clearly. I would recommend this firm as it is refreshing to find solicitors that speak in English and not Legalese
