After I complained last week Breens got in touch with my solicitor and made promises to provide the information needed for the sale of my property. Needless to say they have reneged on their promise. I am disgusted by their behaviour.

Breens are acting for the buyers in the bottom of the chain that I am currently in. The deadline is days away before the chain collapses and they have proven to be absolutely impossible to contact. We have no idea if they intend to exchange by the deadline or not and they are not responding to any of the innumerable phone calls or emails made from all of the other solicitors or estate agents involved in the chain who have been clamouring for an update from them. Absolute radio silence! The stress this is causing everyone in the chain, including my family, is beyond words. When I was looking for a solicitor to do my conveyancing at the time of sale, I was warned off Breens by another local solicitors who said that they were terrible to deal with. Well, I can confirm that they are correct. Keep away from them at all costs if you place any value at all on your time, money and sanity.

Previous review by Laura is 100% correct. She is my buyer!! Further down this chain Breens are acting on behalf of a client wishing to purchase a flat. My husband and I are purchasing a lodge so right from the beginning there as been a deadline which everyone was aware of. Last Friday was a deadline day but we managed to persuade our vendor to please allow us one more week, until tomorrow. After numerous emails and conversations with Breens there as been not a single reply to either that the lady is ready or she no longer wants to proceed. Everyone knows buying and selling homes can be quite stressful but never can anyone imagine what this sale as been like for all of us in this chain. Breens are playing with people's lives and dreams. I don't know whether the lady is aware of anything because Breens solicitor just does not reply to anything but if they do not respond with something by tomorrow I feel very sorry for this client of there's.

Yes, they lost me my sale. If they'd done what they are paid for it would have completed in Feb/March. My buyer pulled out on Tuesday 16 August after getting an offer in October last year

Acting for our buyers solicitors. They have been responsive to calls and emails ect but the sheer about of enquiries that have been raised have been ridiculous to say the least. Some not even to do with our property and asking for documentation that is irrelevant to our sale. It’s been a frustrating 6 months and due to the sheer amount of enquiries it’s taking so long to complete. Still hasn’t complete 27.7.21. So no if your after a quick move I wouldn’t recommend them.

My late Aunt passed away Sept 2019 and Breens Solicitors have been dealing with the will, probate and all other estate matters. It has been 19-20 months since my Aunt passed away and as one of the beneficiaries of her will on 30th April I decided to contact them to get a general update on the progress of the estate and was informed that the message would be passed on and someone would phone me back.
I received no phone call, so on 4th May decided to call once more and was again informed someone would call me back – still no response so on 10th May I decided to send an email outlining a few questions I had and requested either a 5 minute call back or a quick reply to my email.
I received neither so phoned again on 17th May and explained I had previously phoned and emailed but had no response and was assured that this time someone will call me back later that day or the next day.
It is now 20th May and not really surprised that I still have not heard from anyone. As stated earlier, I am just a beneficiary requesting a quick call or email update; I would not be best pleased if I was paying good money for a service from this firm. At best it is not very polite and rather unprofessional if they were to treat their actual clients in such a manner.

Im staying anon so these people can hopefully attempt to rectify their dealings with anyone else dealing with conveyancing, but they have been shambolic, non communicative between them and other solicitors, including the estate agents, evasive and never in to deal with anything, these people should be struck off, never ever use these people for conveyancing, or risk losing your sale/purchase i know someone using them right now and its the same thing all over again. They dont give a toss, they get their money whether your house sale/purchase goes through or not BAD BAD BAD !

This solicitor is terrible. With a 66% deposit on a house they managed to string out the sale into months and months asking for totally irrelevant information. Almost to the point where I lost out on the purchase because the buyer was getting fed up waiting.
Do not use this solicitor for house purchases, they make even the most straightforward sale awkward prolonged and exspensive.
They did a flood risk search on the wrong property which almost affected my insurance.

Absolutely awful. I have had to get all the documents from the seller and hand them into the office. Even then they are slow.
Would never recommend!
They do everything by letter and post, and all other solicitors contact by email. This adds to the lengthy time delays.
The lady I dealt with was so slow and very rude. Her name is Rebecca.

Service is absolutely awful, lack of communication and many broken promises!
I wondered why they charged such a low price, now I know why - because they don't actually do anything.
We have sent them multiple documents only for them to be rejected weeks later and when we sent the exact same item over again it gets accepted!
Breens are an absolutely awful firm and I would definitely not recommend them.
