I used Burton & Burton for my Unlawful Detention claim for which they got me £155000 settlement. They are good at their job and I am very happy for their help. If you want to get a good compensation for detention then give them your case and they will get the best damages for you.

The service was was good, emails were responded to, phone calls returned promptly. Always polite and kept me informed mostly, only had to ask once what was happening. There was no charge as a 'no win no fee', payment reduced by insurance premium which would have covered charges if claim failed, but they would have picked up this cost in that case.

Used these guys mainly as I had heard of them for immigration law and they seemed the most reputable in Nottingham. Had an initial chat with someone on the phone followed by a free meeting to discuss the options for my partners visa. Quoted a fixed fee and stuck to that. I would recommend them. Not really used them for the other areas of law so can't comment on that side of things.

They charged me £1,500. They then proceeded to send letters to the HO filled with error after error. I have no experience in law but could have done a better job myself.

When I tried to get my money back they conveniently ignored my numerous emails until I threatened to make a complaint. Still trying to get my money back.

Unprofessional and incompetent. Do not use them.
