We contacted a solicitor from this branch of butcher and Barlow back in February after been recommended by a friend.
Initial contact was excellent, we provided all of our paperwork and she went over our case (which is quiet complicated)
We got in contact a couple of weeks later via phone, and she told us we have a great case with all of the people who have provided us a bad service (costing us £30,000 to date) she offered to defer the costs for us as we’d lost so much and told us she would put it into an email for us.
The email never came, we phoned up twice to be told we were in the diary for the following week, but again no contact was made.
We made a complaint and we we’re passed onto someone else within the firm, but they have failed to resolve the complaint or give any explanation for her actions or an apology for them.
Now the company have made a huge u-turn 17 weeks later, saying they can’t offer the service offered by her.
So we’re now raising a complaint with the SRA in the hope that this unprofessional solicitor doesn’t mess anyone else around.
We’ve had enough stress and bad service, and she’s added hugely to it by raising our hopes to something she can’t provide.
