Thank you for everything my solicitor has done for me. Sabrina Kadi Immigration solicitor based in Croydon office was extremely helpful and professional. I will definitely recommend her to my family and friends. She has explained everything very clearly from the start of my case until the end. She got me Indefinite leave to remain after many hardships and I am extremely grateful.

My JR was refused and I was given a right to appeal. I was not satisfied with my previous solicitors so I decided to instruct Duncan Lewis as I was told they have a big team of Immigration and Public law solicitors.when I contacted I was allocated with a solicitor who was very thorough with his knowledge and had an eye for details .we finally won the case. Great work done !!

Great solicitors. Was very hesitant to use them after reading some negative reviews but they came highly recommended by my friends and I have decided to take a punt. I am so glad that I went to them as the immigration solicitor Toufique has done a brilliant job on my case and kept me informed at every stage.
I would recommend them to anyone in need of immigration advise.

This solicitors is awful they told me they will call me back in 24h to deal with my case then call me back 2weeks later telling me they can not deal with my case wasting my time and feeding fake info to customers. I believe this solicitors is awful when comes to customer services. I told them my house situation at first and they said yes we are willing to take the case on. Now they are saying that they don't have a solicitor to take on this case I sure will be letting Facebook and the medial know what is going on.

My case was pending with the Home Office after i claimed asylum in 2015. I am disabled and suffer from a number of learning difficulties including William's syndrome. My solicitor Mohammed Nadeem in the Birmingham office not only expedited my asylum interview but managed to pursuade the Home Office to expedite my decision and now i have been granted protection in the UK which means i am safe and can begin my life again. Thank you sir.

I do not recommend these people at all, they are willing to take your money and make do with whatever they can. Being a legal aid firm they get paid either way whether they win or lose, never keep you updated, always wanting to get paid, they don't seem to care on what it going on and how. They fobbed me off, took my money and never really gave me an outcome. Could have been better but as they are too lazy to do that, it just shows that they don't really care for their clients.

Very efficient at taking my money but took them nearly 3 months to send me my £230 Home Office refund (and only after I enquired). Their excuse: Busy with Xmas!
Kept telling me I had no right to travel even though I had a valid French ID card...Not very good at listening, often abrupt and patronising. On at least one occasion the quality of the correspondence was poor. It was very obvious the solicitor had signed a letter without reading it. ! Would never use again. One star because they were right for one thing...the Home Office does get it wrong often!

If these people are called solicitors and barristers then you might as well represent yourself. Please be very careful when asking them to take on your case, they are rude, have no empathy, do not stand up for you in court and are terrible at keeping you updated. Please for your own sanity keep away from them.

Had a appointment with Jaswinder Kasli she arrived 45 minutes late and only seen me for 15 minutes took my money and then said I will probably deal with your case - was very quick to take the money, my appointment was for an hour and I came from far as I just moved in the area. She said I have no availability for 3 weeks what a waste of time and money will not recommend at all - She is a Timewaster with an altitude.

Exceptionally poor service. The lawyers dont even know the law properly. Got me to lodge the wrong application. When you try contacting them never pick up the phone or respond to emails until you threaten to lodge an official complaint. Generally reluctant to give anything in writing. Missed appointments with no apologies. Conned me out of about 3k so far.

I cannot state clearly enough how much the discerning client should avoid this dog-and-pony show of a law firm. As we all can see from previous corporate responses to complaints, Duncan Lewis seems to pride itself on general satisfaction. That may be the case, but at the Harrow branch you will NOT be happy with the service.
I am a survivor of domestic violence with a domestic violence settlement having been granted by HRMC (with a different and very competent solicitor) 6 months before the divorce case was heard because of DL's incompetence in chasing my ex-husbands petition. I was then 'advised' not to ask for any financial settlement despite my legal costs and fees and letters were written to my ex's solicitors to that effect: I had to send 'cease and desist' 11th hour emails and similar phone calls to prevent these emails going through. Ultimately because I needed rid of my domestically violent husband (as deemed by HRMC) I took a quick under £1000 settlement as per DL to 'make things quick'.
This firm will make a painful, difficult divorce much much worse. Avoid.

I had the unfortunate experience of using this firm recently for a family law matter. The employee I dealt with was a trainee solicitor, every letter that was written usually contained inaccuracies, and more often than not I had to re-write them. When it came to filling in forms, the correct boxes had not been ticked and I had to insist that I checked everything before it was sent off.

In a few cases a google search provided more accurate information than the guidance I was given, I googled the details because I didn't believe what I was being told.

I would strongly advise going elsewhere, appalling.

I would strongly advise people never to go to Duncan Lewis. They have employeed just a few trained staff who are only used to produce Cost Estimate letters to the Legal Aid Agency to sip out public funds. All the work on your file is done by caseworkers who prepare poorly drafted letters to court. Duncan Lewis sipped out funds of over £50,000 on my LAA Certificate only to leave me without representation at the last minute before my final hearing. Unrealiable, unprofessional and merciless is their approach. Their own goal is to receive maximum funds out of the LAA Agency. After those funds are received by them their attitude towards you become rude and abusive. They just refuse to do any work on your files and keep making excuses.

I had the misfortune of being transfered to this firm from the Civil Legal Advice team. The person I was connected to was NOT interested in helping me, he was even rude about the person from Civil Legal Advice. He did not want to help me with the law I was trying to rely on, in fact I got the impression that because he was ignorant of that law he was just trying to get rid of me.

If Civil Legal Advice means that you get put through to a lawyer who is rude and abusive, who just wants to tell you to go get a local lawyer then that is a real abuse of the legal aid system.

In the past I have called the Civil Legal Advice team and been transferred to someone from Shelter's Legal Team, they spend over an hour speaking with me on the phone and called me back with a follow up.

So that is why I KNOW that Duncan Lewis provided a shoddy service, provided by someone who really has no interest in helping me, who was rude and abusive.

Far from the promised service that says

"Whilst we consider ourselves expert in the matters we undertake we never forget that we are dealing with people, frequently disadvantaged, who may find the law complex and daunting. We undertake to guide you through the law by applying it to resolve the problems that you entrust to us."

Well that was not MY experience.

People like me are in serious need of proper legal advice when facing eviction from our home, it seems to me that Duncan Lewis are just a machine, they put in these Housing Caseworkers that nobody else would employ and just grab the legal aid fee.

It really concerns me that people like this are giving vulnerable people poor advice and just shovelling them off without offering any practical legal help.

I visited Duncan Lewis earlier this year to handle my divorce. I have two children, both under the age of 10 and I was more worried about how they would feel throughout the process. I visited Duncan Lewis in Hackney and saw Adishetu Momoh Abu. She dealt with all my problems and understood what I am going through. Adishetu took me through all the possible options for our children and we were able to come to an amicable agreement.

I am very thankful for the help and support that Duncan Lewis gave me to push forward and deal with my divorce quickly by keeping me up to date with any updates to my case.
