If you want to be belittled then GLP Prestwich is the place to go.

I have been in the property industry for over 10 years and dealt with a vast number of Solicitors during that time. GLP is, without doubt, the worst company I have used.

My case was dealt with by Martin Cohen, his approach to me was rude and self righteous. He continually spoke down to me and I also witnessed his young members of staff being treated the same way in front of customers. I was that annoyed I put a complaint in - the response form the MD was shocking to say the least. He wrote about how my property business was 'just 24 months old' and he completely backed up Martin Cohen with his actions (what they didn’t seem to realise is that most of properties are ran through my Self- assessment for tax purposes rather than Companies House so they are not visible online !

Clearly a culture of self-importance and ageism.

This company should get a 0. Do not trust them! Provided them with all documentation prior to to them taking on the case on a No Win No Fee basis. After months they have informed me they are dropping the case as they wont win! Only interested in cases they can 100% win with little to no work. DO NOT TRUST THEM!

What can I say except try and warn people that whatever you do, do NOT use Martin Cohen of GLP Solicitors unless you want dreadful service!

I have always been a firm believer in “if you have nothing good to say then don't say anything at all”… however after the service I received from this company I feel the need to. As first time buyers, I was extremely cautious of the whole house buying process. From other friends they had advised that any questions I had should be put through to my solicitor, (as that’s what you pay them for!) Mr Cohen was rude, and often spoke to me like I was a child or just an idiot (Something we noticed he didn’t seem to do when my partner spoke to him). I would send emails and he would often simply ignore them, or an the rare occasion he did decided to responded they were next to always a one word answer that never seemed to answer my initial query. They repeatedly spelt my partners name incorrectly after telling them multiple times that this was incorrect, including on a cheque that was sent to us (Therefore meaning we couldn’t cash the cheque) and they said they would send a BAC’s payment… which was then somehow forgotten about.. and over 10 days later has only just been rectified. All in all, I found Mr Cohen rude, and totally unapproachable. I found their work sloppy, and it just felt that they just didn’t care. On the flip side, I will say the ladies in the office were friendly over the phone, and even Mr Cohen himself was better when we spoke to him face to face. But his telephone and email manner were absolutely appalling, so much so it will ensure I will not go with their services again.

Absolute terrible service. The main conveyancer Mr Cohen is so unprofessional, rude and just does not care at all. I found out my property had completed the day after when I called his secretary to check the progress of my case! I complained and he didn't even respond. Stir well clear of this firm they are the worse firm. The office is dirty and looks unprofessional! I wouldn't even give one out of five if that was an option!
