Got a conveyancing quote that was cheaper than some of the other local firms and what can I say the service was 1st class. Not sure if they've changed something since the negative reviews below but I couldn't complain. Granted I couldn't speak with Ruth all the time but her assistant Chloe was extremely helpful and they made my purchase straightforward when moving homes can be very stressful. Will definitely recommend and use again.

This shower are handling no or rather NOT handling the purchase of house by my daughter and her partner. There was one issue identified in the survey which shouldn't have been impossible to resolve but this young couple have ended up doing all the negotiating themselves

The poor service can be summarised easily by this - every time my daughter telephones for an update, Ruth is in an 'urgent client meeting'. Perhaps if they did their jobs bs better there wouldn't be the need for so many urgent client meetings.

Please NEVER use this company

Ok so chose a conveyancing package from these guys. What can I say.
It was cheap, fast, reliable and very helpful.
From The kind lady in the office to the very last moments of handing keys over, this company absolutely stood out.

I was shocked to see this level of 1to1 support actually still exists in this day and age.

Very happy customer!

I was in doubt because of all the reviews here but i thought i'll give them a shot.
The conveyancing quote was the cheapest and the receptionist offered to email me a breakdown which was extremely helpful.

My sale was completed within 3 weeks, i was updated every so often and staff were very polite.

i don't know why there's so many negative reviews, maybe they have upped their game since all the previous reviews, but i would definitely recommend!

i will definitely be using them again in the future!

I'm not sure how this 'company' is still standing to be honest. The service was so appalling I basically ended up doing all of their work myself because they were too incompetent to get anything right on any of the legal documents. Regrettably, I used them to assist me with the legal side of buying a new built property and I can't even begin to explain how much trouble and how much pain they have caused me over the last 6 months.

They lied about submitting the H2B application, which they had forgotten to do and I ended up calling H2B myself who confirmed nothing had been submitted to them. They got the house price wrong on the legal forms, as well as the address of the property. I had to call them 2/3 times a week as I was left completely in the dark about what was happening with my case. And to top it all off, they ‘forgot’ to complete on the new built property on the day I was meant to get the keys!!! I travelled all the way to the new house, only to be told by the developers that I couldn’t get the keys as my solicitors had failed to contact their solicitors.

In short, Hellewell Pasley & Brewers made moving house 100 times harder than I ever imagined it would be. Instead of helping me by taking some of the stress away from buying a property, they added to it tenfold. I would literally have rather paid NOT to work with them. It would have been money better spent.

And if you do decide to work with them or are already in the unfortunate position, then I suggest you check all the invoices/ sums etc before you pay them a penny, because the amount of times I have had to correct them on the calculations of my fees is unbelievable. Starting from my Stamp Duty and ending to randomly being added an extra pound to fees here and there. Unacceptable.

I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone. I can’t bring myself to call them Solicitors because it seems like you don’t even need an education to work for them. Yet these people are somehow deemed ‘fit’ by the Solicitors Regulation Authority to handle the public’s legal matters. Baffling.

If you are wanting to move house quickly and with as little stress and hassle as possible DO NOT USE this company. I have never in my life been fobbed off so much and told so many lies.

Absolutely shocking, the cowboys of the industry that need to be struck off. 6 weeks into dealing with a commercial purchase the partners informed us that due to them taking annual leave they didn't have the resources to complete the instruction, In that 6 weeks prior to this shocking news they didn't return calls or emails and were rude when we chased them for explanations. You should be ashamed of yourselves !!! Stop giving this industry a bad reputation...

Awful company, made a difficult situation much much worse. I would highly recommend avoiding this solicitors. Used them to buy my ex out of the house, I had to chase them over and over, they kept giving me incorrect information and forgetting what they'd agreed to do. I really do wonder what I paid them for. An absolute nightmare.

Shocking. Shouldn't be allowed to practice, the Law Society ought to do something. They must be costing their clients thousands in their dilatory unprofessional handling of matters. Don't seem to know what they're doing. Steer clear.

Terrible communications. Rarely returned calls. If emails were answered, it was days after they were sent. Most times I called them, the dealing solicitor was unavailable. Sat on issues for weeks at a time. Only started getting good results when I CC'd in the managing partner on emails. Avoid.

I will not be using this firm again.
Told would take 6-8 weeks. Week 13 still waiting. Everytime I ring I get fobbed off and everytime you call in person they have a fresh excuse.
Appalling customer service.

wish i saw this other review before i decided where to go. For first time buyer i had worst time and i can vouch that just like the other review it was same for me. No contact only by email, always seemed very relaxed too relaxed and dragged out. never getting back to you or answering your questions and yeah the terrible spelling and constantly trying to correct there mistakes is was a disgusting service and now There emails are invaild i can not get hold of, emails do not exsist or have been deleted so has the secutarys email. STEAR CLEAR of this company

Cheapest we found but that reflected on the service! The whole experience was dragged out, hardly any contact was made, and if there was it was by email, when trying to ring them you were assured that someone would ring you back which they didn’t or left it 2days before ringing you, we were always in the dark as to what was happening.

And to say they are meant to be a "professional" company, they always got things wrong, ie. spelling of names, addresses wrong
Overall not a happy customer
