I highly recommend Jay Sahota and his team. They are courteous, knowledgeable and professional. I used them when I had problems with my tenants and also have recommended them to my friends who are satisfied customers.

Terrible.
Slow
Unresponsive and generally difficult to work with for Conveyancing.

The below is their generic out of office I get from their Solicitor:
"We will not be responding to emails or phone calls requesting updates. We will contact our Clients and provide updates directly. We will update agents as and when we are able to do so. Working together we will achieve more."

Theyre not updating anyone, let alone clients, selling solicitors or other parties.

Can you imagine if any one in a 'normal' job said, sorry I'm a bit busy, I'll let you know eventually... Let alone when it's something life changing like buying a house.

Unacceptable

Avoid.

Worst Solicitors in Kent!



We used Jarmans for the selling & purchasing of our property, wish we never! Absolute nightmare to even speak to them over the phone, you get promised call backs and never get them, you'll spend most your day chasing them up. Some members of staff are extremely rude and up themselves. We asked for a bill of what our remainder was we owed them, still haven't received that to this day. The worst part was completion day, which wasn't until 4pm, but then all moneys exchanged but because it was nearly home time and a friday they all went home without giving us our remaining money from the sale! Thousands! We then couldn't pay our removal company. We was assured by *** that our money would be there the first thing on the monday morning.........which left us needing to ring and ask for it again on the monday at 11am, they didn't care, no apology, no urgency! Absolutely disgusting service! AVOID this company at all costs!

I have recently used Jarmans to deal with the sale of a business. The solicitor in charge of dealing with the case was extremely helpful and responsive throughout the duration of the transaction. The fees were clearly explained from the outset and there were no hidden surprises. I would highly recommend their services.

I referred a friend who was going through divorce and I am very greatly to the team lead by Steven for all they did for him. The process was well explained to him and at no point did we not know what exactly that is needed to be done. Steven was very patient with us and guided every decision we made. We got far more than we bargained for. Thank you so much Steven and your team for an excellent support. No process in divorce is easy but I am glad that you made it easy for my friend. Thank you

I would highly recommended Jarmans, I have used them for years for various things like buying and selling, making wills, but mainly family and divorce issues. Steven Hayre took over my case from Gordon and had a really tough job on his hands but he succeeded and was great especially with the finance side of things.I was aloud to set up a payment plan which helped enormously and during this COVID time they have reduced there rates and giving NHS worker's a discount which has been great.

Steven Hayre's service was excellent. He was professional and friendly and took the time to understand my situation. I felt at ease talking to Steven. He was easy to contact when I had any queries and was punctual returning my emails/ calls, which was all included in the initial cost. Thank you.

Fixed fee of £700 plus VAT.

I would definitely recommend Steven to others.

I am extremely happy with the way Jarmans dealt with my problem, in particular Xanthe Harris. It took a while to sort out but did not give up and eventually came to a great conclusion.

They dealt with this in a professional manner and would have no hesitation in using them again or recommending them to friends and family. Their costs were very competitive as well.

The service from Xanthe Harris was exceptional. She was completely professional, keeping me regularly updated on the progress of my conveyancing. Her communications were excellent and everything was handled in a sensitive, timely manner. Their fees were very competitive and I would certainly recommend Xanthe and her colleagues to anyone wanting a straightforward conveyancing service.

Excellent conveyancing service. Fast and reliable. If you want your sale/purchase to go rapidly then choose them. They are on a list of recommended solicitors by my bank.
They worked on my case immediately and had searched and legal docs completed in 4 weeks!!

I then had to wait for the other lawyers in the chain to do their bit. That’s when I realised just how good Jarmans are. They had everything ready 6 weeks before the other lawyers and I got them to chase the other lawyers. If the other solicitors were as good as Jarmans I could have completed my house purchase in 4 weeks.

I used jarmans for my divorce and conveyancing . After a disastrous start with two appalling solicitors and on the verge of changing solicitors, i met the knight in shining armour that is Gordon Johnson. My divorce and court for financial matters took over two years, Gordons longest divorce case. He was there at the end of the phone with every enquiry and worry at the most stressful time in my entire life. He had every faith that I would have the fair result that I achieved in court. I can never thank him enough.


i used Jeni Niven for conveyancing she was amazing , she always answered my emails 24/7, the service was smooth, efficient and caring. I would thoroughly recommend Gordon and Jeni.

I contacted Jay of Jarmans solicitors and he put me through Emma Lee ,with my queries regarding Lease Assignment paper work .
She looked into this matter and came up with satisfactory result which put my mind to rest, and the icing on the cake she did not charge me for this.
Very very happy with the service and I will definitely use them again when needed and recommend Jarmans solicitors to my friends and family.

Hat’s off to Jarmans. Even though John told me some of the property team has left to set up a new firm, the property team looking after the matters before the new team starts is doing an amazing job ensureing smooth service. I spoke to Jeni Niven and boy was she helpful. I will recommend Jarmans as they get on with it and provide excellent services

8 years ago Jay Sahota advised me on a stressful and long litigation which eventually went to court. To cut a long story short, Jay provided concrete and clear advice (very different from previous solicitors I'd had the misfortune to use), I represented myself in court and successfully defended the civil case. Jay puts the human back into legal representation and I remembered his honest and definitive strategies which helped me win.

Recently I had the need of further legal advice, this time for a settlement/redundancy issue with my employer. Jay had since moved to Jarmans but could not help as it was not his field of expertise so I was put in contact with his colleague Emma Lee. I found her a pleasure to work with. Emma provided efficient, sound advice, which resulted in a successful outcome. Her tone to the opposition was perfectly balanced: hard and precise without being overly forceful. And just as important, she responded quickly and clearly to my questions.

I would highly recommend Jarmans.

Pain stakinly slow get more bills than progress paid promptly only to receive a rude letter at Christmas time saying if I don’t pay another bill they will no longer represent me, getting a new solicitor as these are useless avoid at all costs only gave 1 star as wouldn’t let me post without it

Jarmans solicitors helped me with my case very efficiently, they kept me informed at all times and in the end the case was successful and I can now see my son on a regular basis. Prices was fair and even though courts can sometimes be unresponsive and slow, both Gordon and Lee managed to push for results which I will always greatly appreciate... Other solicitor company's I went to did not give the same results, so I highly recommend jarmans solicitors.

what can i say Andrew and his team are fantastic i would recommend jarmans to any one you pay for wjat you get if you are jappy with legal aid and not bothered about what happens thats fine but if you do care i would say these are the best out there 1000000%

Would not recommend this Sittingbourne Solicitors , have had an ongoing case which had to stop because solicitor was asking too much money and solicitor was for the other party and not acting for myself was in favour of other party would see that the solicitor was more for the other party rather than wiling to fight for me/us , solicitor kept on asking us to go on line and fil out forms on line it seemed like me/us was to doing all the work and solicior did not seem that interested in acting for me/us

BEWARE. I wish I'd read the reviews about Jarmans before getting involved with them, a decision I now regret. My experience with them suggest they are a dodgy, unprofessional and exploitative firm. The solicitor who acted for my commercial conveyance, Sukhbir Sangra kept putting pressure on me to take on additional services for him to charge me extra for. He made everything seem so complicated so he could justify further additional fees and he frustrated the whole process including the vendor's solicitors and everyone involved. In the end after I said no to his additional services, he declined to stop acting for me on the very day we were to exchange and after he had asked me to transfer the money required for exchange. I had to find another solicitor last minute and it took a week for me to get part of my money back from him. He deducted £5,000 in fees for services he did not provide and I did not agree to. I filed a complaint to the partner, Barry Bond and he just completely ignored all my complaints. Now I am having to go the Legal Ombudsman. AVOID this firm, they are dodgy and should be struck off acting as solicitors. BEWARE

Rather than go by recommendation elsewhere we chose Jarmans because they are local to our project and had a good website. We were fools. No feedback reporting, no progress, no replies to our concerns.....absolutely appalling. We sacked them and went with a recommendation from our auditors after a wasted 6 months. AVOID.

My experience has been terrible and still is. My mother's will was not handled how she wanted it to be. They have ignored me and continue to do so. I have been made to feel intimidated by them. Have complained about them to no avail.
I have no confidence in their actions and will never recommend them to anyone.

I would like to say how wonderful and professional Jarmans solictors were when I sold my flat (heavley pregnant) with a defective lease, and of purchasing a house. They were very helpful and understanding, and yes I could get hold of them on a friday afternoon. I was so impressed with their welcoming conversations I am now using them again with my next sale/Purchase of a property. They explanied everything in detail (in Plain english) and their rates are very cheap to the rest!

I wanted to use a particular solicitor dealing with probate in this firm and I wanted a quote for the sale of a property. When I telephoned, the receptionist was both friendly and helpful, and put me through to a secretary who was able to give me a quote. Explained who would be dealing with my conveyancing in a clear concise yet friendly manner and I also received a call from the solicitor concerned. I have every confidence now that this firm are the best firm to act for me in my circumstances and I have recommended that we use them to my family when we are able to proceed.
