Two years ago I had a meeting with MWS in respect of taking legal proceedings out against an individual. I was retired, receiving a pension and PIP. At that time I was not eligible to receive Legal Aid and decided not to proceed. Over the past two years matters have become much worse with this individual culminating in a serious assault earlier this year leaving me unable to work or walk any great distance for which I am still receiving mediçal investigations. This firm of solicitors were introduced to me by the Police. Having retained the details I phoned the solicitors this week and was advised that the solicitor in question was now working at the Wallington office, however, she kindly took details of my concerns and said she would email the solicitor and ask that J be contacted. I received a call from the solicitor today which I found to be extremely blunt and said so. I was told they could not take any further clients and I responded what "ever" to be told yes so I asked if another firm of solicitors could be recommended to be told no. I found the whole conversation to be abrupt and unhelpful and I made that perfectly clear before ending the call.

Possibly the worst solicitors in London. My mother died during lockdown. She had left her will in safe storage with MWS as she had long been a client of theirs. I needed assistance before her death, despite promises to return my call they didn't.

After her death I needed the will to find and implement her last wishes. The solicitor blamed the lack of will on third party storage and proceeded to ignore my emails. I asked to be contacted by the head of probate/senior, also ignored. The funeral took place on 26th June. I requested the will on 5th May and received it after the funeral had been arranged, around eight days before.

I was called daily by the undertaker requesting the funeral arrangements to be made. I relayed this to MW Solicitors and was still ignored and fobbed off.

Client services have taken over ' dealing' with my complaint regarding the appalling service received.

It takes in excess of seven days to receive a response to any email. There is no empathy from staff and no sign of an apology. In addition there have been financial losses due to the time taken to 'find' the will. They expect a breakdown of figures relating to the time prior to the funeral while my mother was under the care of the funeral director. So please add aboslute insensitivity to the list.

It appears they just want to ignore complaints until they dissapear. Hopefully the Law Ombudsman and SRA will continue to assist me.

They may excel in certain areas however, I cannot explain the frustration and upset they have caused me during what should have been a simple process.

I would never recommend this company to anyone and have already saved associates from using them for bussiness services.
