I was moving house last year and needed to find myself a solicitor. I received a personal recommendation to use McNamara Ryan which I followed up straight away. From the moment I made contact I was thoroughly impressed. The level of professionalism and responsiveness throughout the process of buying my house was excellent and I was never left wondering what would happen next in the process. The staff were friendly and demonstrated that they cared about delivering a top quality service. I would recommend this firm to anyone.

McNamara Ryan was recommended to me and, in turn, I have nothing but praise for the staff, the service and of the very reasonable fee I paid for their acting for me on the purchase of my apartment in London.

I have read with interest a review posted here but, having had considerable experience of the property market over a number of years - some good, some bad – I think one accepts that property transactions can be unpredictable, depending on the cooperation and integrity of a number of parties involved. Personally, I could not now fathom taking the risk of short-cuts that is inherent by the nature the fixed-price / off-the-shelf conveyancing services that now seem haunt the property market. I have heard too many stories of fingers being burned by issues that were not bottomed-out in property transactions and I now willingly pay a time-based fee in the knowledge that this discourages such behaviour. After all, for most people buying and selling is the most financially significant and complex transaction that one undertakes in their lifetime and I am happy to invest in a solicitor which I can trust to cover all the necessary issues and avoid such nasty surprises later on (in my own case, this investment paid dividends with my solicitor negotiating to reduce the price of the property on my behalf when we met vendor issues). I will not hesitate to use this firm again or to recommend them to others – a fine example that you really do get what you pay for.

I contracted this firm to conduct a title transfer for a new mortgage. The work was completed in 6 weeks but the cost estimating was appalling, resulting in a bill the date before completion that was over 70% higher than the estimated. I would advise against using this firm or working with them on a fixed price basis.
