The did my employment claim and made a right mess of things. They charge a lot and then hit you with more fees at the end. I only won because someone else stepped in to save the day and after they got just about everything wrong. They are a waste of time and money.

Have requested information and paid for it, waited many months with no response.They were quick to take my money. After many months they have said they will send information shortly. Have still not heard back. Do not reccommend if you want communication and to be kept informed about what is happening. Very Poor communication and service.

0 stars and minus stars would be accurate. Don’t believe they are any good just because they charge a lot and have a London office. A dustbin of a firm full of rubbish people. Don’t waste your time or money with this firm.

Agree. Really unprofessional firm and particularly their Cambridge office. Full of people who can’t make it in decent firms or new starters with no class and dumber than dumb.

Genuinely one of the most incompetent conveyancing law firms i have come across, and believe me i have seen some badly run firms. Not only are their fees expensive, but their service and expertise are amateur. Trust the many poor reviews me before my own, it will save you a lot of time and headache.

I paid £350/hr for what I hoped would be a good solicitor to help my daughter in an employment case. What I got was a weak, posturing clerk with headed notepaper. Don't go here.

Really unpleasant dealing with this firm and wished I had gone somewhere else so I know what you going through and fight them like I did. They are such a bad firm and only interested in taking as much money from clients they can without any decent service.

Awful firm, people and service. They overcharge and their advice was wrong. Complaining is useless. Go elsewhere and don’t bother with the unprofessional and unpleasant Cambridge office.

As a former (and never to be again) client I can say without any hesitation whatsoever that I hate this firm for messing me around and taking my money. Apart from their bills they take ages to deal with anything including complaints when they get things wrong. No wonder they have such bad reviews. All deserved. Shameful.

Relating to the Cambridge office - As per the previous two reviews, they massively overcharged us over the estimate and then refused to explain what the initial estimate was based on. They also made a number of mistakes which meant that we were incorrectly charged over £7000 by our mortgage lender in early repayment charges when in fact we were simply porting an existing mortgage. We managed to get the charges refunded but had no apology from Penningtons Manches again no responsibility was accepted. We have now submitted a formal complaint. Do not use this firm. Unethical, unprofessional and underhand. Other firms offer fixed quotes rather than dubious estimates, leaving no room for extra charges

I can second the review below. I would give the a no star review if I could. Awful service and very expensive. The fees were massively over their estimate. Lots of things wrong and lots of mistakes. DO NOT USE THEM.
