I had a very negative experience with Georgina Pickering. She took over from who I originally instructed and was slow, rude and overzealous with money laundering checks. We were first time buyers who were purchasing the house we were renting from our landlord; this should have been a straightforward process but unfortunately not with Georgina overseeing it. To start, she did not send over our searches and other documents until I contacted her, even though they had sat with the firm for a couple of weeks. She left emails unacknowledged and unanswered for a week, even for very simple queries. She would sometimes answer some queries but ignore others and then would bring up the issue at a later date, which would slow down the process further. When I eventually got her on the phone she was rude and at times insinuated we had not eared our money legitimately (I have a full time salary and pay slips to prove otherwise). She went through our finances with a fine tooth comb, questioning every single thing, including our 'round-ups' that were going to our savings account; insisting she needed to see bank cards to prove that is what the transactions (which were in the pennies) were. She also gave unclear instructions and even when challenged she could not understand this. She took all the fun out of the process and turned it in to an extremely stressful situation for us unnecessarily. We ended up dreading every interaction with her and I even had to formally complain to her regarding her incompetence. If she is given your case, I would ask to change to someone else.
