I recently used Ranson Houghton for the purchase of my house. Communication was excellent, and matters dealt with very quickly. My purchase was completed in 8 weeks (no chain), and the experience was as unstressful as buying a property could be.

Ranson Houghton's service was always very quick and efficient, and we appreciated being able to speak to the relevant people in their office in Salisbury in person whenever we needed to check anything. Very good thankyou. They were also very good at pretending to laugh at some of my sillier and definitely naive attempts at pointing out what I found to be the most 'humourous' aspects of the overall procedure.

Fantastic service. Prompt, clear and helpful responses to all of our queries and concerns.
Other firms turned our case down for being "too complex" Ranson Houghton took it in their stride, made no fuss, and dealt with it efficiently and seamlessly.
Easiest house purchase I've ever made thanks to the team here.

I was very satisfied with the work of Ranson Houghton. Office staff were always friendly and helpful. They responded quickly when i contacted them for an update though it would have been good to have had updates without having to ask. The fees were reasonable and everything went smoothly.

I would completely recommend Michelle Cooper-Gray. After a difficult time finding a care home for mum, we finally had to sell her family home to fund this. The care, compassion and, replying to all of my 'odd questions', and always keeping me informed of any changes that arose made me feel absolutely confident through out the whole procedure and it took so much pressure off this difficult time in our families lives. Michelle Cooper Grey was the light at the end of the tunnel while purchasing our property.
Communicating throughout, putting our minds at ease, she was simply amazing from start to end explaining everything , she was on the case 24 /7 and I know without her the purchase would of been a lot longer due to inadequate solicitor and estate agents the other end.
Throughout when we where worried and anxious she explained everything and chased everyone..

Michelle and her team have assisted me twice, and I would happily instruct them again because they are friendly and very professional, which made for a swift process without any unnecessary stress or issues.

They helped and supported me when I didn’t know or understand something. They always got back to me promptly. They didn’t keep asking me the same questions - once and done. They were proactive so I didn’t have to keep chasing them up. And I always knew what stage we were at, so I could see the progress.


My husband has also previously used their services based on my recommendation and past experience with Michelle and Kelly.


I cannot recommend Michelle and the team enough - they make all the difference with the actual process, the time it takes and the experience you get during the process.

I can’t praise Michelle Cooper-Gray and her team highly enough. I have used Michelle several times now - she is a real expert in her field and provides an excellent service. I always feel that Michelle goes above and beyond to make the process as pain free as possible, and her team are excellent too. We chose Ranson Haughton after receiving quotes for several different solicitors in the Salisbury area. We found that Ranson Haughton were well-reviewed online and competitively priced, so we decided to go with them. We worked with Michelle Cooper-Gray, who guided us through the house buying process with great efficiency. Instruction to completion took just over a month, but could have been even quicker if we didn't have to wait a couple of weeks for our mortgage offer to come through. Michelle was also extremely organised and thorough, making helpful recommendations and ensuring all of our questions about the property were answered. We couldn't be happier with the service we received and are immensely grateful for Michelle's efficiency and helpfulness. We will certainly be recommending Ranson Haughton to others.

Michelle helped us through our house sale start to finish in a month.
Michelle’s calmness and grasp of our entire process was excellent , and despite the swift movement between offer and completion she never missed a beat , sorting through any of our buyers query’s and communicating with us clearly at all times.
Excellent unruffled service which made it easy for us.
I would recommend Ransons and will be using them as my go to solicitors in the future.

We used the Salisbury branch of Ranson Houghton for the conveyancing of our first ever house purchase, based on the recommendation of a friend, and I can honestly say it was fabulous advice.

Given everything that 2020 has thrown at the world, I never imagined that it would be possible to get from an initial viewing to holding the keys of our first house in under 13 weeks, and I cannot emphasize enough the significant part that Michelle's excellent service, advice and support played in this.

We will definitely be using Ranson Houghton for any of our future legal requirements. Many thanks to all there involved in assisting us.

I have recently moved house during the pandemic and I didn't expect the move to be straightforward, however, I feel very lucky to have appointed Michelle Cooper-Gray at Ranson Houghton Solicitors to carry out the conveyancing on our sale & purchase.
Michelle has been extremely efficient and professional throughout the whole process. She has been very quick to respond to my emails and is always approachable and helpful each time I had a query.

Michelle and Kelly down at Ranson Houghton were very professional with the entire process when selling and buying the properties.

It was hard to choose between all the Solicitors as it’s generally hard to know who is good. Ranson Houghton came up as one of the best reviewed companies with low costs and Exceptional service so it was a no brainer

Great service, the contract pack had a comprehensive cover letter which guided us through all the documents. Once a date was agreed we closed on that date. Emails responded to and were clear and easy to understand.

Highly recommend this solicitor. Friendly, professional employees. As first time buyers we had no idea what we were doing but they guided us through with no issues and were always on hand to help.
