Tassells are the epitome of why the Legal profession is the most loathed of all professions especially here in the UK.
They are purely self serving, and have no moral compass where their clients are concerned.
They deliberately prevaricated in the case of an elderly vunerable client, despite knowing as she had vascular dementia that time was of the essence, until despite having been sent numerous messages, and phone calls, over an eighteen month period, once after receiving the Court fee, they onerously thought the client's health had declined, so utilised that as an excuse to return the court fee, a few days after finally agreeing to enter the evidence into Court, and then immediately determined the contract.
They deliberately misled a Kent Police enquiry, and omitted to give them the facts which could have enabled the Police to carry out their own investigation, and this resulted in the police stating there was insufficient evidence, as by then the clients mental ability had deteriorated, this despite their having Tassells solicitor, and Clerk, having taken notes of answers previously given by the client, at which the Barrister recommended by Tassels was present, but they neglected to get him to sign and date those notes.
They seemed to think their role was merely to act as a Post Box, sending out letters to whomever was meant to receive them, but despite having been given the written evidence, they on numerous occasions couldn't even transcribe that evidence correctly onto their letters to people concerned, which would obviously jeopardised the authenticity of that evidence.
This also lead to months of delays, and was obviously designed to ensure Tassells never needed to pursue the case into the Courts.
The case was sent to the Legal Ombudsman, after Tassells internal procedure was proven valueless, because the primary instigator of the problems, , himself conducted the review, completely against their own policy, and cherry picked his arguments to serve his own purposes.
This also happened in answer to the questions from the Legal Ombudsman, but they did eventually stated Tassells service had fallen below a reasonable standard, and awarded a sum of money in compensation for the impact caused to myself, who had been acting as Power of Attorney for the vunerable adult.
Unfortunately the Legal Ombudsman stated their role was not to punish the Solicitors, simply to put the client back into the position they were originally were in, which in this case was impossible.
In my honest opinion, the only way you could win a case wherein Tassells were involved, would be if your adversary was employing them.

This firm severly over-charged on basic estates which would drag on for 4-5 years. This firm delight in stealing off employees and clients. I worked here and was treated very badly indeed. Don't be fooled by the false mannerisms and grandstanding - these people are absolutely not to be trusted Avoid Avoid Avoid!!!!!

This is a firm which likes to get as much money out of people as they can get away with. I worked here and was treated in a disgusting manner. I was good at my job so they resorted to hiding crucial documents causing me much trouble. Thoroughly dishonest. Clients were seriously over-charged with enthusiam.

I begrudge having to give these a star at all! Absolutely disgusting service! I would not recommend using this firm, I was lured in with all the right words, but when it came to action I had to chase them and they had no interest in actually following anything through... The advise i was given was very poor and in fact caused more harm than good! If you want family law, look elsewhere and consult anyone but these!

The service I received was awful. The solicitor was condescending and sometimes rude. I expected to be given the facts in a non-judgmental way,however, this was not the case and I will be writing a complaint letter shortly.
