I mandated Ibby from Unsworth Rose for the purchase of my flat, after having been disappointed by my first solicitor. Mandating Ibby – who was already recommended to me by a colleague – has been the best decision I could have made.

Ibby has provided me with incredible services throughout the process and has over-exceeded my expectations. He has made himself available at every step of the process, despite being very busy. He was on top of every single element of the process, helped me on some tricky technicalities that could have put the purchase at risk, and always gave me proactive notice on where we stood and what the outstanding items and next steps were. I would blindly recommend anyone purchasing or selling a flat to work with Ibby: I could not have hoped for more professionalism and competence.

We used Unsworth Rose for conveyancing services in London based on a friend's recommendation. Overall, the experience was poor. This included multiple accounting errors which could have easily led to the collapse of the house sale. Luckily, we were checking everything they were doing and caught their gross errors in time to ensure the sale proceeded. The staff were tardy and difficult to get a hold of when needed. Using Unsworth Rose significantly increased the stress levels of buying a house. As such, avoid!

I have used Unsworth Rose (Melanie Lawrence) a number of times and they are a very solid firm with people who know their profession. Melanie Lawrence has just acted for me regarding the sale of my home, she is very professional and likable but above all her client care is in a different league.
I can't recommend her enough..

I heartily recommend Rachel Jackson at Unsworth Rose as a conveyancing solicitor. She proved to be very thorough, meticulous and very calm throughout our tense conveyancing process and her manner is a welcome antidote to the stress most buyers and sellers experience during these kind of transactions. Her fees were very reasonable and competitive and I would have no hesitation in recommending her to anyone involved in buying or selling a property.

I cannot recommend them. I personally felt that Mark Unsworth was disrespectful towards me when I approached them regarding their service - I was advised that I have a negligence claim against them which I will pursue and when I spoke to Mark Unsworth about the problems I had with their service I felt offended by his attitude towards me - he laughed at me and was disrespectful and tried to intimidate me by saying that he would "counter sue" me if I lodged a claim against him (there are no ground, but if the claim against them would fail they would be entitled to their costs - which is normal). I would not recommend them, I purchased a property in 2009 and to this day have many problems with the purchase and sale of this property, which could have been avoided if they had taken more time to advise me personally and properly.
I felt their style was too informal and their "leaflet" (that I never received) was on a sheet of paper - no logo or anything.
Also, Mark Unsworth appeared to be quite friendly and constructive when discussing the inital problem, which was probably just to poach for information that he could use to his advantage - as soon as his professional negligence insurance got involved he was unfriendly and disrespectful.

This is not a nice manner to work with people - I lost complete trust in them and regret having ever come across this firm.

I will give an update on how my claim against them went.
