      30/04/25 - Reviewed by Jaya

If I could give -5 stars, I would. Feels like a scam – Please be very cautious!
I had a deeply unpleasant and disappointing experience at Wembley Solicitors, especially with someone named Khalid Khokhar. I walked in with a genuine visa-related query — my current visa is expiring on 7th August 2025, and I needed to know if there were any options available for me to stay legally in the UK.

After explaining my situation to the front desk, one staff member casually told me there weren’t many options. Another said I’d need to speak to Khalid for proper advice — but only after paying £72 (60 + 12 VAT). No one gave me any idea that the so-called “consultation” would last less than 1 minute or offer no help whatsoever.

Khalid showed up after about 10 minutes. He asked me my name and which visa I was on, and within 30 seconds, he bluntly said “No options, only Skilled Worker Visa,” — something I already knew. That was the entire consultation. No questions, no discussion, no advice.

I tried to ask about business visa, self-sponsorship, or if he knew any agents — again, he just said “No, sorry.” It was clear he knew from the beginning that he had nothing to offer. So why take £72 from someone seeking help?

No receipt, no paperwork — only my bank transaction proves I paid. I felt cheated and completely let down.

This isn’t legal guidance — it’s taking money from desperate people without providing even basic service. If you’re on a PSW visa or looking for sponsorship guidance, avoid this place. You’ll get the same answer for free elsewhere: “No options, sorry.”

This was not professional. It felt like a cold, calculated transaction. I left confused, frustrated, and genuinely shocked.

14/05/25 - Response by Wembley Solicitors

      Dear Jaya,
Thank you for your feedback. We would like to clarify the circumstances of your visit in the interest of transparency.
You walked in our office and spoke with our staff while Mr. Khalid Khokhar (solicitor) was away. You explained that your spouse is on a Post-Study Work (PSW) visa and that you are in the UK as her dependent, with your visa expiring on 7 August 2025. You specifically asked the staff whether we could arrange Skilled Worker sponsorship for you.
The Staff clearly informed you that we do not arrange sponsors. When you continued to ask questions, you were advised that a formal consultation would be required. You agreed to pay our consultation fees of £60 plus VAT.
Once Mr. Khalid Khokhar was available, you paid £72 and your consultation took place with him directly. During the meeting, you explained your immigration status and asked about available visa options. Mr. Khalid Khokhar advised that you or your spouse could switch to a Skilled Worker visa if a legitimate sponsor is secured. You then again asked whether we could arrange a sponsor or refer you to an agent who could. Mr. Khalid Khokhar clearly informed you that this would be unlawful and that we do not offer or support such services. You also inquired about the possibility of a business visa, and you were informed that no such route is currently available.
We are committed to providing honest, legal, and professional immigration advice to all our clients, and we ensure that this is clearly communicated at every stage.
Should you still have concerns please contact us by email at info@wembleysolicitors.com or by phone on 02034173700 and we would try our best to resolve your concerns.
