Honestly, I don't even know where to start. I've been in a difficult situation with my visa and I decided to contact Ashwood Solicitors simply because of their reviews.

First of all, there's no such thing as a free intial consultation as mentioned on their website. They will literally take your details and ask you to schedule a call with the lawyer. The charge is £180 including VAT for one hour.

Once the time was decided, the immigration lawyer, Jwameer, called me but 20 minutes later than the scheduled time. Although he apologised, I still lost half an hour of work because of this unprofessional behaviour.

Now when I start to speak to him about my situation, from the beginning, it seemed like he was never interested in taking me as a client.

The most disappointing part is that Jwameer literally gave me the answers that you can find on Google. Plus I already knew what he was suggesting me.

When I told him that the options he gave me weren't helpful, he simply said that "Then you have to go back to your country".

I was shocked to see such kind of behaviour from their side as it is completely opposite of what their reviews say. And apparently, this was supposed to be the "Top rated Law Firm" of Manchester. I literally felt so stupid during the conversation that I paid £180 to someone who was giving me answers off Google or Gov.co.uk. Plus the call lasted for less than 15 minutes.

A week later, I consulted another law firm with the same issue and they charged me 1/6 of Ashwood Solicitors and gave me a solution within 5 minutes!

That's why you contact a lawyer. For them to find you a solution that a layman isn't aware of. Unlike Ashwood Solicitors who gave me answers I found myself on the Internet. I am so unhappy with the kind of service I received from this law firm.
