As a former (and never to be again) client we can say without any hesitation whatsoever that we hate this firm for messing us around and taking our money. Apart from their bills they take ages to deal with anything including complaints when they get things wrong. No wonder they have such bad reviews. All deserved. Shameful.

Slow and really dumb. They don’t keep you advised, very slow, very rude and very unprofessional. They also overcharged. Awful service and can’t recommend.

OMG would totally recommend this law firm to anyone, so worth it, I was guided to the right direction and the lady solicitor was best I have come across.

Fake or what! See other reviews. They did bad service for me and wife even when recommended by estate agents.

It’s a pity we can’t leave 0 zero stars. We had such an awful experience with this firm. Quick to quote with supposed discounted rates to secure our business however their final invoice was double the original quote for a straight forward property purchase with no unexpected issues or disbursements.

The worst people my wife and I have ever come across. Very unprofessional, unpleasant and wholly incompetent. Lots of delays and mistakes. Very limited in their abilities and surprised they have a good reputation until we found out that everyone who is good left this firm years ago and retired. Avoid this firm. They should be closed down.

From beginning to end, Boulter & Co, under supervision of Sally Luca, has been abysmal in their work. Unresponsive, unprofessional and consistently failing to provide us with the necessary legal documents.I would urge everyone to avoid using Boulter & Co for matters small and large.

They were recommended to me by Hobart’s estate agents and I wish they hadn’t. Please don’t use boulter and co - impossible to get hold of, made multiple mistakes on completion fees and still waiting for final settlement. John Appleton was the solicitor who was pleasant when you get hold of him but you have to continually chase. Avoid at all costs.

Extremely disappointing experience. A competitive quote was offered to act in completing the leasehold to freehold work on my flat. However, no action was taken for over a year other than to ignore my requests for updates or to provide inaccurate information. After complaining on numerous occasions and over 18mnths elapsing I was told the case would be assigned to someone else but the fee would have to be increased. A legal formality that should have been straight forward and taken a few months was stressful and took a few years.

Awful service! AVOID! Robbing people blind. Lots of hidden fees. Charged me double than what the initial quote stated. Egoistic people who take everything personally. They have failed to give me a satisfactory service during my property purchase. Reported them to the Legal Ombudsman and I urge every unhappy clients to do so. This firm has lots a bad reviews for good reason.

Avoid. Very slow, unprofessional, expensive and do not trust. Used to be a good firm years ago but people there now are not worth the money. Complaining is a waste of time. Better off just going elsewhere.

We hired Boulter and Company to do the conveyancing on a house sale and purchase. We encountered a number of problems during the sale and purchase which made us question why we used them in the first place but the big problem reared its head nearly three years after we bought our new house.
It turned out that Sally Louca who was was the lead conveyancer had read all the legal documents the wrong way round which has ruined our enjoyment of our home. We believed we owned two fences in fact we owned neither. We believed our garden was private but in fact, our neighbour has a right to come in whenever he wants to do work on his house without notice. A driveway whose upkeep we thought was shared by two neighbours is in fact shared with an entire estate of houses. Basically, we have been left with a huge mess of problems the fallout of which is still ongoing.
To make matters worse Boulter and Co did everything they could to try and get out of paying for their mistakes and dragged their heels every step of the way with our complaints. After repeated attempts at getting a positive response, we had to resort to starting court action. Eventually, after they again tried every trick in the book to avoid paying us decent compensation for their errors we finally agreed on an out-of-court settlement in our favour.
So the motto of the story is to avoid this company like the plague if you want someone who can actually read the most basic legal documents because you could end up in a similar nightmare situation.

Great Solicitors
We have used Boulter and Company (Andrew Joannides) for both Business and Personal conveyancing over 20+ years and would never even entertain the thought of using another company.
Andrew has always been very approachable, professional (but with a friendly relaxed manner) and prompt with his service. His fees are very competitive and worth every penny. Andrew and his team are not just conveyancers, they are solicitors, which means they go through the reams of legal paperwork and point out any pitfalls or issues, they do not expect you to go through it all and find them for yourself, unlike some other conveyancers. We have so far used Andrew and his company for 10/11 private property transactions (Buying and selling) and 2/3 business transactions over the years. We have recommended to friends, family and business partners who have also used Andrew for their own transactions and we all agree that we cannot fault him or his staff. Would most definitely continue to recommend.
