Dealing with builders is not easy and when I moved in Jan 2020 it was 4 months late. This conveyancing service was under £1000 - so cheap really. The people I dealt with were helpful and very diplomatic about difficulties. So I would recommend them, as long as your expectations are not unrealistic.

In my honest opinion if I could give them 0 stars I would.
Not only was buying a property stressful but these solicitors made it even more so.
As first time buyers we lacked the knowledge of a more experienced home buyer and were treated the same nonetheless.
There were a few issues that we had:
1. Nothing was explained to us; at times I would just get an email with an attachment and be forced to ask what it was and what I needed to do with it.
2. Everytime I called I don't think I was ever put through to a solicitor, they either passed on a message to the receptionist or said they would email.
3. As email was our main source of communication we relied on it heavily. There were many times they would answer part of the email not all. I asked three times what happens on the day of exchange and completion and this question was never answered unfortunately we had to resort to Google.
4. We were not updated as often as we would like and so we were forced to call for updates.
5. After expressing our concerns toward the end we were never apologised to, instead our email went unanswered which I thought to be quite rude as a paying customer.
Unfortunately we will not be recommending these solicitors and I do hope that this doesn't happen to anyone else.

I am so pleased that I had GM Wilson looking after the conveyance of my first ever home. They explained everything to me. Rachel and Emma really helped me getting things done, communication was outstanding, they kept me up to date along the way. I recommend GM Wilson to everyone! I engaged GM Wilson to handle my recent sale and purchase and Rachel Kirkham made the whole process (almost) stress free. My house sale was managed so efficiently that the cash sale completed within 6 weeks. Rachel was always on hand to answer my queries throughout my slightly more stressful house purchase. Covid restrictions did not affect how they administered my sale and purchase and working electronically made the process feel more streamlined unlike my seller's solicitor who still relied on Royal Mail! Rachel did not take her foot off the gas when the purchase began to stall following a collapse in the chain and was extremely dedicated to ensure the purchase completed within the revised timescale. I would not hesitate in recommending GM Wilson for conveyancing.

I used this firm for a sale and purchase with a deadline. I found staff efficient, polite and able to answer questions backed up by email if I asked. If my contact was unavailable I always got a call back. Firm met the deadline and the fee was competitive. Would use them again.

Brilliant company! As first time buyers we were pretty clueless with the whole process but our solicitor Rachel made sure we understood everything that was going on. She was in constant contact with us on what was happening and where we would go next. No question and no task was too much for her. Highly recommend and we will use again if we move in the future.

G M Wilson handled both a property sale and re-mortgage of a buy to let property simultaneously for us. They were efficient, transparent, made everything clear at every stage and kept us in the loop at all times. Corrie in particular was fantastic at helping us overcome some complexities that arose with the residential purchase and was brilliant at managing the whole thing getting us in on the day we needed. We will be using again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

I used GM Wilson for the purchase of my house and was extremely happy with the service I received. I was regularly kept up to date throughout the whole process and Corrie went above and beyond to deal with any concerns I had. The whole process was dealt with swiftly and professionally and they made what can be a stressful situation easy. I would highly recommend this company and will be using them for ay future sales/purchases I make.
Fantastic service from Corrie, her advice was invaluable and despite being exceptionally busy she responded promptly to all the enquiries relating to my purchase. I would not have been able to move into my new home as quickly as I did without all her exceptional hard work and efforts. I would have no hesitation in recommending GM Wilson and would certainly use them again for any future sale and/or purchase.

avoid using this company.
they dealt with my purchase of a property and the communication was appalling.
not one phone call or email from them at all for 8 weeks following them taking money for Searches.
never return calls, the solicitor is always "on another call" or "not at their desk"
constantly had to chase them for updates.
would highly advise people avoid them

Never again! no contact with them at all with is absolutely unprofessional. Numerous calls and messages left with them and they have never returned these calls. Eventually when they did after 6 months all the documents and facts has been mixed up and we had to start whole process again! I can’t even put into words how shocking the service was.

Absolutely appalling. Despite numerous calls and messages left, our conveyancer never returned these calls or got back to us throughout the whole process - I can’t even put into words how shocking the service is that we have received from this firm. Very unprofessional and I would advise anyone I know to stay well clear.

Will never use these Solicitors again!
They all need general pratice of customer service. When you call for information they sigh down the phone and make you feel like a burden. They lie and keep you waiting with no updates, Ive had phonecalls and emails ignored. They have system where you log in and you can view any updates ask questions etc however this isnt used and like i said when you call they sigh and very blunt.

Many thanks to Sandra Drake and her secretary Claire for very fast and efficient service. Took just 1 week from instructing to exchange of contracts.
