A very smooth and friendly process, with no problems at all. This was our first house purchase, and I'm left wondering why people say it's a stressful thing to go through.

Grindeys were recommended by our mortgage adviser, and now I know why. I can recommend Grindeys too.

I was recommending by our Mortgage Adviser to use Grindeys to purchase a property. The House was a right to buy application in which i had lived in the property 8 years previous. I have nothing but good feedback to mention during this process. All of our enquiries were dealt with professionally and almost immediately, far quicker than was expected, as i can appreciate these things do take some time. I had the pleasure of dealing with both Vicky & Louise and i wouldnt hesitate to recommend this firm to anyone else looking for legal representatives in purchasing a property. Was skeptical in using an online solicitor however Grindeys provided excellent service and were easily contactable for any query. Used when buying our first house, explained whole process and what we needed to do. Very prompt with providing all required documentation and very helpful with any problems or questions. Would definitely recommend

Very good service from Vicky and Louise in the purchase of my property. Explained everything patiently and thoroughly to me, returned phone calls promptly if unavailable at the time of call, provided clear direction on queries / issues that needed my input, and generally made the process as straight forward as possible for me. A stand-out solicitor experience of the few that I've had, I would definitely recommend and use again.

Excellent experience dealing with Grindeys.

Although didway through the process my assigned solicitor left the firm, but they were quick to react and assign me to someone else within days. She was quick to catch up on the status of my case, which she successfully completed.

The fact that they were able to respond quickly and efficiently on unforeseen circumstances is why I rate them the maximum of 5 stars.

Would do business with them again.

The service I received from Grindeys was absolutely fine.
The paralegal, Fifi, and her colleagues were approachable, helpful, and quick to respond to our situation.
When pressure had to be applied to the vendors solicitor for information, they were decisive and suitably assertive. Consequently, our house purchase completed on time, and crucially, in time.
I would see no problem in using Grindeys again.

My Husband and I are extremely happy that we chose to use Grindey's for the purchase of our new house. Sharon Green and her assistant Rebecca are extremely professional, proficient and helpful. They also updated us soon as they had any new information. Sharon is amazing at her job and her knowledge in this field is impressively extensive. She went up and above the call of duty for us, especially when she had to chase up work that our other solicitor had failed to carry out.

Grindey's rates are also competitive - I would definitely recommend them to family and friends.

I have received an excellent service from Eileen Banks at Grindeys, both for the recent sale of a property in early March 2016 and also the purchase of another property, completed on 31 March 2016. Eileen was invariably available at the end of the telephone and if not, she was always prompt in returning my calls. She worked tirelessly to ensure I completed my purchase before the 1 April Stamp Duty deadline. She also offered very helpful and much valued advice when appropriate. She was extremely efficient and very supportive throughout the process. I shall certainly ask her to handle any house transactions for me in the future.

Grindeys couldn't have done more for us. Their excellent (often same-day) communication, professionalism and timely advice meant that we were able to complete on our property purchase before our 31 March deadline - which was very ambitious. When we found out we couldn't use our own solicitors and that we had to use a solicitor on our lender's panel we were a little disappointed, but we needn't have been. They have been great! The cost was very reasonable too. Would highly recommend.

Our experience with Grindeys was fantastic. Carole Simmonds was professional, polite and gave the best customer service myself and my husband have ever received. She kept the process moving quickly and met every deadline. If it wasn't for Carole we could have easily lost our property. She worked so hard and supported us through a stressful period. Buying a new build has lots of hidden problems and developers are heavy handed at times and put you under un-due pressure. Carole took this pressure off us and completed our purchase under such a short timescale. I would use GRINDEYS again, purely because of the professionalism of a member of staff who goes above and beyond. Thank so much Carole for all your help. From two very satisfied customers.

I was recommended to Grindeys in general and to Sharon Green in particular by the daughter of an old friend of mine. As a Londoner myself I thought why is she sending me off to Stoke on Trent. Big mistake in my thinking! Because I soon realised that in working with Sharon Green and the team which she heads up I had struck the equivalent of conveyancing gold. Prompt replies to queries, prepared to go above and beyond the call of duty, liaising thoroughly and effectively throughout - and all done in the most pleasant and professional manner. A rare find and a real delight. As the late Hughie Greene from 'Opportunity Knocks' used to put it - "and I mean that sincerely, friends'.

I am a Mortgage Broker and the big Conveyancing firms are often Poo Pooed by Estate agents for lack of personal service and being too big to care. Well Grindeys are not like that at all and I will be thoroughly recommending them again in future. A special thanks to Gemma Boulton, Rachel Latham & Eileen Banks for their seamless service getting this through in record time to beat the Stamp Duty deadline, I do hope the client will send them a huge bunch of flowers or a case of wine!
They were all very pro-active which I think is very unusual for most firms I deal with. They acted on 3 cases for me and these wouldn't have gone through without their help, So a huge thanks from me.

We have just completed on a house purchase and would like to say Gemma Walchester and Jane Tyrer of Grindeys provided an excellent service. The pressure was on due to time constraints but they pulled it off in time. I had no problems contacting them and they would always take my calls something that the seller would have liked. I would highly recommend the company and service provided and will most certainly be using them again in the future.

I am a mortgage broker operating in Beccles, Suffolk. I have been using Broker Conveyancing for a few years now and have had so many mixed results with "Panel Solicitors". However, I now exclusively use Victoria Simms and Louise Mellor of Grindeys. After one case I was so impressed with their professionalism and service that I spoke with Vicky and asked if I could place more cases with her. I now recommend them to all my clients and the feedback I receive is always good. It makes such a difference to me being able to recommend Vicky specifically while saving my clients money compared to local solicitors. Vicky, Louise, and Jude all do a fantastic job and I hope their Boss sees this and gives them the praise they all deserve!

In Nov-Dec 2015, I've instructed Grindeys Solicitors to act as my conveyancer. Mr J. Simmonds has been in charge of my transaction. In the past few years, I've dealt with many conveyances and I must say that few of my experiences were from hell thanks to the poor quality that these conveyancers provided me with. Mr Simmonds, was completely a different case, as he completed his transaction stress and pressure free. It was the smoothest and quickest transaction ever. Mr Simmonds provided me with a friendly, yet a professional service. He kept me informed all the way through and most importantly he used to return my phone calls! Every single one of them without pretending that he's busy. I am extremely satisfied with Mr Simmonds at Grindeys and I strongly recommend them to conveyancing seekers, go for it, you won't regret it. Five stars it is and if I could give more stars, I would.

The purchase of my property was stress free using Grindeys. I had been recommended them, and the good value price was very appealing. My solicitor was very easy to talk through queries with, and worked hard to achieve a quick purchase and managed to get the completion date I had hoped for. Overall I am very pleased with my choice using them, and recommend them.

I read all the bad reviews with a pinch of salt as some people have high expectations of what can be a very lengthy process. It's easy to blame the solicitor but there are various reasons for the process to be slowed down. Local searches can take an age to come back for example and not much a solicitor can do about that. I expect some teams in Grindeys can be slower than others - from the sounds of it, the ones appointed via HSBC and the Post Office! However, I use Grindeys through Broker Conveyancing and always request the same person - Vicky Mellor. She has always been extremely helpful and I have never had an issue when she has been appointed to one of my cases. She was appointed automatically to my first instruction via Broker Conveyancing and I have never used anyone else so perhaps the people with bad experiences just didn't get appointed the right person sadly. There are obviously people in Grindeys doing a very good job.

My wife and I recently (April & May 2013) used the services of Grindeys to effect both the sale of our existing property and purchase of a new one. We found them unstinting in their efforts to ensure both transactions were carried out quickly and efficiently, particularly Sharon Green and Gemma Walchester who were superb. We were kept informed, with phone calls and subsequent letters received in good order and we would have no hesitation in recommending their services to others

We would absolutely recommend Grindeys, after already knowing about their service Grindeys were our preferred choice for conveyancing. They assisted us throughout the entire process, keeping us informed by email and by phone where necessary. They gave clear direction and indication with the documentation, which was extremely helpful for a first time buyer. We both want to thank Grindeys for all their hard work, and that of the entire team. We are very thankful for the support and effort’s they gave. The charges were reasonable and fully explained. I was allocated this solicitors through Nationwide. I've always been sceptical about solicitors. Grindeys have surprised me. I was treated like nothing was too much for them. Every problem encountered with my Mortgage was sorted quickly and courteously by Carole Simmonds and her assistants.I was contacted as soon as something arose and made to feel like i was a friend and not just a client. Really pleased with the service,not what i'd expect from a solicitors. A credit to the industry.

I was very impressed with the service that Grindeys (and Vicky Mellor) provided. The other side took weeks to do anything. Grindeys did it in days. Really straightforward to deal with and e-mails were always ansered that day. I would definitely use them again and I would recommend them to others. I always thought it was preferable to use a local firm but, these days, I'm not sure that there is any advantage in this.

Recently dealt with the sale and purchase of my property and Carole and Fifi were brilliant. We had problems with the purchasers Solicitors and they managed to sort everything out within the agreed moving dates depite late receipt of documents, literally a few days before. Would have no hesitation in recommending them.

The service was absolutely fantastic - couldn't fault it at all. Very fast response to any queries we made (almost immediate in most cases) and it was evident that we were kept up to speed much better than the others in the chain - we seemed to know everything before anyone else! We completed very early on completion day which meant the move day went very smoothly too. Overall I was very impressed by the service, would definitely recommend them (and have) and would use them again without hesitation.
