Used to use the Cleethorpes branch which was always friendly & professional with good customer service, after recently contacting the new office in Grimsby my opinion is that the majority of staff need to be enrolled on a customer service course, very rude abrupt service by a young staff member

Absolutely terrible.
Accusing you of being rude, when only asking questions.
They put the phone down on you, which is very unprofessional.
They can't or won't answer simple questions.
They then accuse you of shouting, which is absolute lies.
I have dealt with Ellie Malone and a manageress called Jenna from the RAC section.
Terrible communication

Wilkin Chapman get the job done but at a cost (and I’m not talking about the mandatory ones we should expect). The cost is in the time (and extra suffering that results) that it takes them to sort out your problem! There is a fine line between being thorough and having things needlessly drawn out. Our problem was 50% caused by the other party 50% by Wilkin Chapman. We set up a litigator who started off putting hurdles in our way then nothing for months until we finally found out he was suffering from personal problems and was limited to what he could achieve. Our beef was simple, the litigator’s manager should have picked up that he was failing at his task. We spent 2 years trying to settle what should have been an open and shut case that should have been settled within a year. An unfeeling organisation that did do a grand job on the probate/financial side but were found lacking for 9 months by the litigation. We all have personal problems, but if those issues prevent you from doing your job to the best of your ability, and even hinder work, then that is unacceptable. I used this company during home purchase and they did the job (but slowly). What do we as a family take out of this? Without our cajoling they would still be at it for year 3 at extra cost to us, so be wary if you are using this company. The going rate for most Solicitors is £200 per hr (some a hell of a lot more), make sure they speed the job through. Sometimes with our Dad’s ex girlfriend (who was a person of low moral fibre) you need these people, please heed our advice.

The review I am leaving is for the office in Alford only, The solicitor in this office did a Commercial transaction for my Son and Partner, and I have to say the service was appalling. (I myself attended a meeting, also had conversations with the solicitor as it was getting to stressful for my Son & Partner to deal with). From the minute they walked into the office up until we request another office take over, The mistakes and neglect were so bad you would think the job was done by a trainee. My son nearly lost his purchase due to what I can only describe as complete incompetents. The stress and sleepless night coursed by this so called service was terrible for them, Then to add insult to injury when they asked this case to be looked into, my Son and Partner were told there was no fault found but did refunded a small fee as they felt they were over charged! They should of been given a full refund. I have had dealings with the Grimsby office in the past and found them excellent, which is why I recommended them to my Son. The Alford office however is nothing like the service I received and I would not recommend them, I would hate for anyone to have to go through what my Son and Partner went through.
