Finally Done - 13 months later

Observations:
They lost important paper work 3x - even though I paid for tracked delivery.
Was charged over £600 more than initial quotes received
Nearly lost the property since my case wasn't a priority
Now being asked to pay an extra £180 as they made a mistake on my last invoice and refused to accept a payment plan.
Use this company at your own peril !!!!!

My experience with Premier Property Lawyers Ltd. was nothing short of a nightmare. Initially, I was led to believe that they were a reputable choice, recommended by Strike. However, their performance left me utterly dissatisfied.

One of the main selling points was their alleged commitment to responding within 24 hours. Little did I know that this claim would fall flat in comparison to the exceptional responsiveness of DP Conveyancing, whom I later turned to. DP Conveyancing consistently responded to my queries within a few hours, sometimes even minutes.

The communication from Premier Property Lawyers Ltd. was abysmal. They missed our scheduled meeting without any prior notice, leaving me in the dark until the following day. While I understand that emergencies happen, it was disappointing that the company failed to provide any support or a simple email to inform me of the situation. This incident only added to a growing list of red flags that had already emerged.

Due to their overall poor service, I made the decision to terminate my contract with Premier Property Lawyers Ltd. before investing any further money. I also requested the deletion of my personal information, as I believed they had no legitimate reason to retain it. Shockingly, they refused my request, further displaying their lack of professionalism and disregard for customer satisfaction.

The entire experience with Premier Property Lawyers Ltd. was filled with frustration and disappointment. I incurred a financial loss of £180, but it could have been much worse had I continued with their services. I am relieved that I recognized the signs of trouble early on and decided to cut my losses.

Learn from my mistake and avoid the same fate. It is crucial to thoroughly research and read reviews before choosing a conveyancer. In my quest for a reliable option, I eventually found DP Conveyancing, which proved to be the best conveyancer I have ever worked with. Save yourself the headache and opt for a conveyancing company with genuine 5-star reviews instead.

Baffled by the positive reviews. Maybe it was just the individual, Sri-Devi, dealing with the purchase. So much so I made the decision to change Solicitors 5 weeks into the process after making 0 progress with Sri. I had to constantly chase for updates as she never responded to emails and always got met with “oh, I was just about to respond to your email” every time I called.

The level of incompetence is something I’ve never experienced before and would highly recommend in not going with the cheaper option, as you very much get what you pay for.

If you do chose these Solicitors I would request a change in Conveyancer immediately if Sri is assigned to you.

2 Failed completions, dire communication and approaching 8 months to complete on an empty flat with no upward chain. Dishonest answers on delays and forgot to send deed to Land registry, despite promising to expedite it following another failed completion date. Neither myself or the buyers solicitor can get a response. All the time they still haven't sent in the deed to Land Registry causing a delay for each day until it is finally sent.

I am so glad I had Sabina Mohammed act on my behalf. She is such a kind, caring and compassionate lady. I was going through mental torture after the loss of my dad, so selling a house on top of that was horrendous. Sabina took the time to actually talk to me with nothing but respect. I was calling her continuously, and she remained patient!! My purchase was also dealt with by Sabina, and again, she was amazing! It took almost a year to complete on my purchase property! (Which was not because of my Conveyancer!). I'm glad I had Sabina with me through my long and painful journey! Premier Property Lawyers are extremely lucky to have someone like Sabina work for them! Thank you Sabina! I'll miss our chats!!! It's been an absolute pleasure dealing with you!

Solicitors can not be any worse than that. They totally ignore clients and absolutely indifferent towards the success of conveyancing. It took them NINE months to make a simple flat exchange during which it took nearly a hundred of attepted phone calls to them because they ignore emails and phone line is mostly off. After purchase they forgot to register exchange in Land Registry which was only discovered during remortgage attempt. If you value your time and money, NEVER use these solicitors!

Before my retirement I enjoyed 40 plus years working in the residential and commercial property field, so I am beginning to understand the basics of conveyancing and indeed dealt with solicitors many times in every day of the week.
As a seller Purplebricks insisted that I use Premier Property Lawyers ( from whom they receive substantial introduction commissions) for my conveyance and was assured they were a capable and competent firm.
To describe Premier Property Lawyers by using the adjective "abysmal" is in my humble opinion praise to which they are not entitled.
Whether you are buying or selling, please, please, please go elsewhere for your legal services and retain your sanity.

I would actually give this company minus stars if I could. Our buyers used this company as purple bricks advised we were also using them so this would be a quicker process ( Utter lie ) We are potentially losing our sale tomorrow as they do not engage and have lost crucial documents numerous times. They have promised exchange numerous times and have not delivered. Utter cowboys . DO NOT USE !!!! Purple bricks need to find a contract with new conveyancer fairly quickly as they are damaging their reputation massively

Buying a property cash buyer no surveys or searches .it's the 10th week .id team saying there's trouble with our id checks yet it was ok in September when they sold my property, the team don't know what they are doing .I was told by other Conveyancing companies it would take 5 weeks and no more, I'm appalled the way the managers font do anything , the solicitor is lovely , but managers and id team are a disgrace

I would never recommend PPL to anyone, unless I really didn't like them! I would give 0 starts if I could.
This firm are dishonest, incompetent and full of empty promises. I completed on my property 19 months ago and I'm still waiting for them to do something as simple as register it with the Land Registry. Consequently the property is still in the previous owner's name, meaning I am unable to sell or remortgage. Their Post Completion Team are an absolute joke - they are not customer facing so say they will not take calls, but this simply means they will just never get back to you. Quite honestly instructing them has got to be one of the most stressful experiences of my life, and I've been through a lot of stress! I don't know how they are allowed to continue operating, surely they must be breaking the law by taking people's money and not delivering the service. They are criminal. I implore anyone thinking of instructing them to please please stay well away. Use anyone but PPL/MyHomeMove if you want to keep your sanity and not waste your money.

Currently trying to purchase a property for which these cowboys are acting on behalf of the vendors. We had a deadline to exchange three weeks ago.
After 20 weeks they suddenly tell the vendors they have failed identity checks due to a marriage certificate. Once that is sorted they then decide they are not happy with their proof of funds for their purchase (despite having initial proof 16 weeks ago).
Our deal is going to fall through tomorrow even though they promised the estate agent we would be exchanging 3 days ago.
Not returning calls/emails to either the estate agent, their own client or our own solicitor

I am 5 months in with a solicitor who is completely snowed under - too many cases is my guess and too many people trying to complete on mortgage offers expiring - it isn't that she doesn't know what she is doing... just not enough time in the day. Getting voicemails at 12:30 am is admirable but tells me she will be very tired working on my house deal.
However big problems for me are as follows:
They are a digital company so if they can't tick a box you get no progress - there is no one of seniority monitoring what is really important and what is noise on searches and findings
You can literally never get hold of anyone who can actually help you - the people who answer the phone are clueless and can never get back to you with an answer. They just make a note they spoke to you.

Basically - buyer be warned - you go digital - you get digital which is great (but not very efficient in the real world )
This is not just my opinion but several people I have spoken to

You probably referred to them by estate agent BUT AVOID THIS FIRM AS PLAGUE! I got scammed by 3rd world street vendor; ripped off by backstreet garage, but this is my worst consumer experience. When your conveyancing start go wrong, to complain/escalate to their senior management WILL NOT WORK 'cos this is a corrupted firm as a whole,an unethical business model shouldn't exist, rather than you suffer from negligence of particular employee/s.
They are part of Simplify, claim as biggest conveyancing/property service in UK, they trade under many names, some source say 62. They are contractor used by Purplebricks and Strike, also as My Home Move. In 2021“Purplebricks apologises over conveyancing problem for customers” under pressure of Council for Licensed Conveyancers. They pay agents large Referral to get your business, but don’t worry you pay off all once you onboard. They are overcommitted n profit on prioritising cases and clients. Below is my detailed suffering, their negligence and delay in the sale of my property cause direct financial loss and distress of life, n now I can no longer afford my house move at this soaring interest rate,which should not happen if they performed their obligations. My conveyancer: CHLOE KING, Hartwell Team.

It started since the issue of ground rent doubling raised by buyer at end of May, a complete 2-month's wasted without any progress, all I got told is“waiting for response”. The fact is you didn’t even manage to reach freeholder or their rightful representative for this matter. Or it wouldn’t be me to notice freeholder’s voluntary offer to fix ground rent on 12 Jul.
After I forwarded you freeholders offer, which also include contribution toward my legal cost. I made numerous enquiries of how to proceed, such as on 21 Jul;23 Aug;7 Sept;6 Oct. But never get the answer. Part of your responsibility but you requested buyer solicitor to draft deed of variation to the managing agent, at my cost of £300. This is without my acknowledgement! This deed was later sent to managing agent for review, I was also charged of £130 for it. Freeholder now responded: “The deed of variation was offered by Landlord as per agreement...Therefore,managing agent cannot grant the deed… The deed you have entered into does not include the Landlord as a party and is therefore incorrect” and refused to cover me any cost. That was 26 Oct, since then you have not responded to either party, nor any attempt to fix your mistake.
Further delay between 13/09 and 20/09 at close of exchange, made by Chloe KIng's negligence.While she insisted that my payment of review of deed is not received. After my hrs over phone with bank, followed by days investigation, my bank concluded the transfer has no fault, n had already completed. Then I had no choice but to make another payment in order to move on. It was eventually clarified during phone call with Chloe King on 07/10 that she couldn’t locate the payment ‘cos she was looking at wrong ref, while screenshot of transfer provided to her include payment ref on 13 Sept.
At date of completion,Chloe King ask"I am on hold to (your lender) trying to get a final redemption figure calculated for today but am struggling…” despite I sent at least 2 notice I've paid off mortgage n in full title of property, on 26 Jul;6 Oct,ALL ignored. Again like many other day in past I had to give up work,spent whole morning over phone to get my previous lender to provide her confirmation/evidence of redemption.
Despite all I was forced pay expedition fee £175 to completion Monday 10th Oct, or you would do by Friday.Buyers Mortgage offer expiring,sale'd fall through by then. You were fully aware the deadline long before,urged over and over.
Apportionment statement drafted/executed without my acknowledgement/consent.Till I was charged n noticed:apart from service charge/ground rent,my reserve fund in advance £806.64 was wrongly included in. Chloe King apologise over the phone on 14 Oct,admit error was due to her rush to exchange, but later after completion she announce:“will not look to get involved in this”!?her exact words on 20 Oct.
At 2nd half of sale,very common my emails don’t get replied, my calls no answered. All other parties experienced/complained same: Buyer wrote on 2 Sep"Main reason was your solicitors were not really communicating with my solicitors on almost anything”; Freeholder wrote on 25 Oct“I've tried to call your solicitor to discuss the case but have found it impossible get through to Chloe King. She has still not responded to my letter”.The conveyancing became self catering,whatever buyer requested, they’d notice me,I'd work between,anything I could to provide/meet demand.I cant recall how many times had to give up work/life commitments to put myself in this distress.

Other negligences include:
Buyer’s solicitors sent you enquiry if you agree with their fee of drawing deed variation after you requested, in mid of July, followed by few of reminders. But no response until 10th of August;
Managing agent emailed you the property sale pack on 28th of July, which you mean to forward to buyer, but again complete 3 weeks inaction, until I had to requested it from Managing agent myself on 18th of August, and forwarded to the buyer;
Managing agent requested you their fee of review of deed of variation on 29th of June, but just couldn’t get your reply. Till to the point that I contacted Managing agent to find out what’s stuck, while all the time I was lied “we’re waiting for response”. That was already 5th of September, merely a month away from deadline. All these can be verified by clear timeline of emails and communication.

Only 2 points remaining so we can finally sign it, and yet THIS IS GETTING STUCK IN THIS COMPANY FOR FOREVER! Nothing gets done here. GIVE US OUR MONEY BACK!!!

Communication is appalling, emails do not get answered, some staff are rude & lack empathy, motivation & honesty. You are told one thing by the Conveyancer but the case notes certainly do not reflect this when other staff try to provide updates.
Questions & requests are ignored. You are told IT systems are being problematic & they are being fixed, it just doesn’t improve.
We have been subjected to unnecessary delays due to sheer incompetence, lack of knowledge & motivation.
We used this company 4 years ago & had to constantly chase them. The Estate Agent told us this company had improved immensely unfortunately we believed him, they haven’t improved, they are actually worse!
The only thing that has improved obviously is his financial incentive to recommend them.
Please do not consider using this company if you value your health, buyers, & sanity.
We also found out after instructing them their systems were previously hacked, you can find out more information using Google search.

1) Purchase of an empty property, we’re selling to a cash buyer. No others in chain. Uncomplicated you’d think?

2) On 2nd conversation with our conveyancer we expressly asked if our purchase was a LPA case as owner in Care Home. We didn’t receive an answer to this. she never came back to us on this matter. She is difficult to contact. It transpired that that this is indeed a LPA case which has protracted the process unnecessarily. If we had known this earlier we would not have entered in to this transaction.

3) The conveyancer tells us something on a telephone conversation, but when calling for updates her colleagues state there is no such information on our file. She also says she will call us back but doesn’t.
Incidentally our buyers Solicitor and our purchase Estate Agent both report communication issues with them.

4) We most definitely would not ever use or recommend PPL again.
Appalling service, non existent customer care and a complete lack of transparency.
It appears that due to their incompetence this whole transaction may collapse.

We are now 24 weeks into what has been the most stressful and traumatic period of our lives. It's all thanks to the people at PPL. I have never dealt with a company as immoral and unprofessional as this. I HATE the fact I chose Premier Property Lawyers. They will make you ill with stress and then speak to you, a paying client, like you're an inconvenient annoyance.

We chose PPL as Strike had recommended them to us and the buyer was with them.

We are selling a leasehold and Strike put it on the market. We got our asking price within a day, a good mortgage and were looking forward to our purchase which took us a year to find. We were very excited.

We have been lied to about obtaining documents. Emails sent that have had no response have never been chased or followed up. We have had crucial responses 'blocked' by a firewall and not chased for two months, IT issues that are still going on after the well documented cyber attack.

We have been spoken to rudely and condescendingly. We have delays upon delays from information not being requested, recieved, actioned or followed up and PPL simply don't care. We've been patient, polite and unfortunately now been forced to act firmer. We've begged, we've tried every single approach to obtain some sort of action on our cases. All to no avail. It makes no difference who you contact, who you complain to or what you say or do.

We have ridiculous enquiries that have been sent to our purchase's solicitors. These queries are not to protect us. Our onwards purchase have given up and written a final letter. We have made a formal complaint, our buyer has made a formal complaint, all the estate agents involved have made formal complaints and our sellers solicitors have also......NOTHING, made no difference what so ever. So I will probably get the cut and paste answer below about "management" will sort this out, but I can guarantee they will do NOTHING as PPL do not care for you as a customer.

Most of the work and chasing has been done by ourselves inbetween working long hours. We are in contact with our buyer and it has been the same experience for her. Her PPL solicitor has had all the required information for over a month and they're still reviewing. They should have had it three months ago when our team lied and said they had it. We found out by us contacting the management company. It takes 5 weeks to raise enquiries and 2-4 weeks for a response, if you are lucky.

There is zero transparency, direct questions or challenges go unanswered or unread, and anything that can be traced back to malpractice on their part, blamed on a third party.

Today we received the dreaded email from our sellers that they're pulling out if nothing happens in the next week. This will hit me to the tune of tens of thousands of pounds when they do. The interest difference on a five year fixed mortgage at todays rate will be a 24000 loss.

Two weeks ago our solicitor just disappeared, she was replaced by somebody who only works three days a week. More was done in these three days than what has happened since, she was also polite, so thanks Katie. Then our solicitor returned and it is back to the sherking responsibility and condescending responses. I called her manager to ask for a replacement and all I got was a petty argument and blaming our buyer on their late mortgage, It was two weeks late during a busy back log from COVID and not her fault, it certainly doesn't justify PPL wasting way more weeks doing nothing. We are still stuck with our dismissive and arrogant conveyancer.

This whole experience has been incredibly taxing on our mental health. My partner is constantly in tears, blood pressures are through the roof, feeling depressed and anxious (never thought I'd say that over a house), we are both so drained by this process, and feel like giving up on the whole thing. Its affecting our work and our physical health.

Look at Premier Property Lawyers website and the ideals they promote. Not one of these are true. That goes for My Home Move and the Simplify Group, the umbrella companys.

As a formal complaint has been made, we have to wait for between 28 days and 8 weeks for a response, before we can go to the Ombudsman. We followed the process and escalated to management, and after assurances we would have daily checks and updates on the case, never heard anything.

If you're looking to sell or buy a home then please don't use Premier Property Lawyers. Look at all their other negative reviews recently. They are the worst company I have ever dealt with and an embarrassment to their profession. How can they play with people's lives/money like this?

If you enjoy being stressed, anxious, frustrated and bitterly disappointed, go with this firm.
If you want to chase outstanding issues yourself and do 50% of the work, go with this firm.

They will crush your dreams with an experience similar to a Taiwanese prison.
Listen to all of the recent reviews, you may get lucky with the odd person that wants to see you complete in a reasonable timeframe but you may also loose your sale/purchase after waiting months to over a year.
They will find any reason to delay for as long as humanly possible.
Formal complaint is being lodged with the ombudsman, I have no idea how they are allowed to continue trading. Always promised management intervention and callbacks but not followed through

Could not discourage use of these guys more, really terrible conveyance service. Very little communication, a shared mailbox and a group of inexperienced solicitors who appear to be guessing the process and hoping for the best. Their incompetence led to delays in contract exchange and added a lot of stress to an already pressurized situation - do not use.

The worst experience selling a property with this company. Communication was minimal and almost impossible to get hold of anyone. It took over a week to get any responses or clarification on what the constant holdups were. I had a cash buyer which are usually very quick sales (roughly 8 weeks) The sale took over 6 months to complete, without any logical reasoning. On the day of completion (FINALLY), we were asked to leave the property by 1pm, so we had movers in from 8am, all packed up and ready to hand over the key by 12am. We then heard that there was a delay as PPL were checking the legitimacy of where the cash buyers' money has come from - AN HOUR BEFORE WE ARE MEANT TO HAND OVER KEYS! This was a complete breach of contract and you are legally not allowed to exchange without the relevant checks being cleared beforehand. They were checking to see if the money was in fact a gift from the buyer's grandfather who had passed away. How is this company legally still operating?? The checks continued until 4:30pm and we had to still get to our new property and collect keys by 6pm (bearing in mind this is a 1.5 hour trip away). There was no apology for THEIR error and lack of checks prior to the exchange. They do not care at all - this company is all about making money and you are just a number to them. My advice is to go with a company that actually cares and provides you with the service that is promised - you will not find that at PPL. They should be audited as there is something VERY shady going on.
I also asked to be compensated for the hours that my moving company spent waiting around for us to complete (this came to an additional £700), I was told they would compensate £180 only and that's it, even though they were in breach of the contract and exchanged without doing proper checks - now I must pay for their errors? Just appalling really!

I have tried to buy a flat in Rhyl ,Wales.After 5 months my solicitor asked me to move the deposit from.my ISA account in the main one.I have been so happy!
After just a week the solicitor come back to me saying still need some documents from seller's solicitor.
After another two months(7 months since we started the process) the seller informed me he is pulling out from.sale as he is having some menthal health issues which were agravated by this situation .
What could I say?
I have lost the solicitor advance fees and the mortgage adviser fees .It is only £1000 but I am working hard for my money .
I have lost also my interest in bying something.Still live in a rented flat .

We started well enough, although I was frequently asked to post feedback, which I didn't think was appropriate when they hadn't yet done anything. At the moment the buyer's solicitor is waiting for answers to questions which were given weeks ago on their e-way page, then more recently printed, signed and posted back by recorded delivery . I've asked why the delay, but had no reply yet. When I did phone once to check on progress, the message service said the person I wanted wasn't available, and then it just rang out. I am wishing I hadn't been persuaded by the sales pitch, that they could complete more quickly than an external conveyancer.

First time buyer and unfortunately every nightmare came true with PPL. ZERO STARS.

Our conveyancer was Steve Milne who is pleasant enough - i think it must be a bigger issue than Mr Milne personally ruining our situation but a few days before intended completion, we were told our case would be dropped.

2-3 months of engagement, so close to the end, and our case dropped? The reason was apparently due to us as clients giving conflicting information. I'm not sure what sort of conflicting information would suddenly come out towards the end of the case but this seems like a cover-up for some serious errors on their side.

I rarely ever leave reviews so if you are reading this, please please do reconsider and DO NOT use PPL. Pay a little more to avoid this nightmare. In our case, we are a British-Chinese couple so it may be our case specifics but looking back at public reviews and general reputation in the industry, PPL is not well regarded.

My experience even before this explosion of a mess is:
- the conveyancer did not give much detail and we had fairly minimal contact throughout the process
- I felt like i was always chasing him (not a good feeling when it's your first home and you don't really know the process)
- The conveyancer seemed to not be aware of all the information we had already given, asking again if we had sent x or y document
- The conveyancer did not show an interest in our desired timeframes or seem to respect our timeframes
- When we had a hold up on confirming final information (some incomplete forms from the seller) the conveyancer was not able to appropriately explain why this information is needed from the seller, why this delay is justified and what exactly he needs from a legal perspective. The explanation was vague like 'we need to forms to be completed'. Why? What exactly? What are the consequences of this? What alternative options are there in case we'd like to prioritise our desired completion timeframes?
- The conveyancer seemed to be slow to act and follow up; we were finalising monies before the exchange when suddenly lots of new information was needed that should have been checked and finalised before reaching this point in the translation
- i could go on...

Please avoid PPL at all costs. I recommend a local conveyancer in the area you are buying in.

The service was slow it took 7 months for the sale of the property to go through.The company kept losing paperwork i had sent through the post altho it was sent by register post.Never again it was very very stressful i was glad when it was all over.

One star is too much for the heartbreakingly poor service we have and still continue to receive. Missing documents, no records of calls we know have happened, staff who have accused us of having a go at them, yawned on phonecalls and asked us not to rush the dates through as "that's the last thing they want to be doing on a Friday." We have a house that has no chain either side and we are still waiting 6 weeks over their projected completion date. I wish this company could see the misery and frustration that their lack of care has on their paying customers.

NEVER WOULD I RECOMEND THIS COMPANY THA SERVICE HAS BEEN APPALING FROM START TO NOT FINISHED YET.
I can not begin to go into all of the mess and excuses that have ben put forward. it has taken MONTHS to sell a home with a cash buyer and cash seller ,then we have been asked for a money up front. when it was agreed moneys to be paid at the final transaction. i am pleased we did not pay. my buyer is going rightly crackers and so is the company i am buying the house from. sh*t company!!!

Absolutely appalling. They have completely failed to respond to correspondence. We have had to resend paperwork and have had to keep sending the same information. Due to their poor correspondence, both our buyer and seller have threatened to pull out. Unable to phone them and have been requesting a phone call for the last three weeks - they are risking our sale falling through. Disgraceful.

Outages in service due to Cyber security attacks, requesting funds from lenders and then sending them back, slow and lack of responses, no accountability, are some of the challenges we've encountered with Premier Property Lawyers.

One of the conveyancers we have been dealing with is Imran Ali. Items needing attention are raised months later than they should be, responses are few and far between, requirements are ever changing. Its coming to a year and a half now and there is no end in sight.

I wouldn't like to deal with Permier Property Lawyers again, particularly Imran Ali.

We are really angry with this crappy company. They never respond to emails or phone calls and the department we are dealing with (Q newbuilds manchester) are really bloody awful, rude and have been caught out lying twice about work supposedly done.

We only went with them because they came under the coop umbrella, i'll be writing to the coop to tell them what an awful bloody service (or lack of) they provide (or don't).

solicitor.info needs a zero stars option for crap companies like this.

Very very slow.Both me and the seller ar working with solicitors of this company.It is my first experience and I wish I would read these rewievs before starting working with PPL .They have been recomanded by Purplebricks so I have accepted ,thinking they have all the interest the transaction to go fast and smouth.They have started the process in 14th of October last year.I needed last week to ask for a extention of my mortgage offer and my mortgage offer will expire in 12th of May.I do not intend to look for another mortgage if ,and I am sure now they will fail to complete till then.

They are the Solicitors that our buyer are using. They sit on documents for weeks without doing anything. They take actions and decisions that delay proceedings, but don't tell their client and lie to cover this up. Even when told that these delays will cause the sale to fall through, they don't do anything. Avoid these guys at all costs.

1 star is too much, 8 months to do virtually nothing and then work on case in last month, blame everyone else when others in chain had done the same job and we’re ready to proceed. Can never get hold of on phone, email after email to get a response. DO NOT USE as certain individuals within the company are just not capable and do not care!!!!

I am very upset with Premier Property Lawyers. Our buyer started to buy our house with them on September 1st 2021. We finally, after endless delays and lack of communication on the part of PPL, signed the exchange documents with our solicitor 8 days ago. But PPL are apparently still not ready and not answering our solicitors queries as to why they are not ready. We are very likely to lose the house we have agreed to buy through the gross incompetence of this so called company!

Absolutely disgusting service.
Lack of response because their servers went down for WEEKS - not a single ounce of responsibility or attempt to rectify/clarify their issue. Caused huge delays, simply couldnt be bothered to answer queries, speak with the other side solicitor or even attempt to progress the case.
On the day of completion, completely ignored the other side solicitor. Excuse was that they had to do an ID check so failed to complete. When questioned why this hadnt been done at the outset; no comment. When asked why they couldnt verify ID within minutes, as normal solicitors would, was advised "we have a team who do that". Failed to complete because of the internal heirarchy and utmost incompetence. Clearly only in business because of their low cost and huge referral fee incentives.

Almost a year and counting to complete the purchase of a property which had no chain on either side. This company has sat on my application and provide literally no explanation for why they have taken so so long to process. This company has cost me my sanity at times and my nightmare isn’t over yet. I am literally at their mercy. I can’t go and work with another company as the process will have to start from the beginning and I will still have to pay these clowns.

IT systems hacked and took them completely down with no emails, phones or access to backend systems for 3 weeks. No access to the customer-facing portal for three months. Now they are blocking detractors on twitter and having negative Trust Pilot reviews deleted. Meanwhile they are posting fake positive reviews. Literally the most shady company I have ever dealt with.

We were given this company to use by our mortgage advisers and given the mortgage advisers were excellent we agreed . This was a big mistake. Our assigned conveyancer was rude and would quite often talk over me and clearly had no interest in what I had to say. They made human errors which I can completely accept however they used to take days to reply after chasing and chasing and again would be rude and make excuses or suddenly provide new deeds which needed signing (which we’d already done). On the day we finally completed after many excuses we moved in at 12pm thanks to the sellers solicitors letting us know. Around 5pm this company finally rang to tell us we had completed but we’d already been in 5 hours. I wouldn’t use this company again and this was our first purchase of a house and they made it so much harder than it needed to be. Also on the day of completion we’d paid all of our fees in advance and then suddenly our paid invoice was removed and a new one was added with an extra fee (they denied this). It was only £40 and we could wait no longer so simply paid this to get away from them as soon as possible.

I absolutely do not recommend this company to anyone! Completely incompetent! My mortgage offer lasted 6 months and we only managed to exchange and complete on the last 2 days! It took them 6 MONTHS to accomplish a straight forward sale on a CHAIN FREE EMPTY RESIDENTIAL PROPERTY.
If it wasn't for my estate agent and her manager pestering them constantly and getting senior managers involved I genuinely believe my purchase wouldn't have happened. Premier Property Lawyers drag their feet with everything and take no responsibility for the lack of attention or communication. Between me and my estate agent, we made various phone calls, emails and chased paperwork for Premier Property Lawyers - basically doing their job for them, just so we could complete in time.
Fast forward 9 months after finally completing, we've now discovered that they haven't even registered us as owners and still haven't filed the paperwork. Cant even
Been asking to speak to a manager or someone senior for weeks and I've not had one reply or phone call or a response to my emails.
Oh and I haven't even mentioned the app constantly not working - so no access to important files in order to complete a purchase!
Please do yourself a favour and use someone other then Premier Property Lawyers, absolute shambles of a company. You'll get more of a response out of the brick wall next to you.
Gutted I have to even give them one star LOL

Being forced to use premier property lawyers because we sold our property through purple bricks we initially assumed that if purple bricks used them they must be decent enough. What a mistake.

First there security was bad enough for them to get hacked causing a 2 month outing with absolutely nothing being done, no contact at all, it was next to impossible to contact them, and when we did get through, we were told to “wait”

Second our case handler (Ryan) was rude, aggressive and above all incompetent. belittling and arguing with my wife at every opportunity, blatantly lying and when being caught out, going so far as to make her feel stupid and call her rude when she asked him to verify things, His incompetence has cost us time and money, to which the full cost has still not been realised.

I am disgusted that purple bricks recommend these amateurs simply because they service we received from purple bricks themselves was outstanding, however I will never use purple bricks again based on our experience of premier property lawyers.

I highly recommend anyone thinking (or if using purple bricks, forced) to use not so-premier property lawyers run for the hills !

If I could give 0 stars I would. I'm going to forget and not judge the whole IT outage this company have experienced which many reviews will touch on. They have been the most incompetent solicitors ever, so far to say they are a complete joke.
The enquiries they returned were described as unprofessional and unusable by our solicitor. After being reminded multiple times about a certificate they forgot to send it twice even having received it and they too lost deeds to the house further stalling the sale of the house.
This company Is beyond unprofessional. Why purple Bricks recommend them is beyond me.

Absolutely shocked with this PPL solicitors. It has currently taken over 6 months to try and complete a sale and still no completion date! No onward chain, cash buyer…You would think it would be the most straightforward of all sales possible. Instead PPL systems have been down for last 3 months and are still down, so they are not giving us a completion date instead they are using stalling tactics by repeatedly asking for the same information that they have already got answers to! It is so annoying and upsetting. I have found this experience to be so stressful and unfortunately I agree with all the other reviews left on this site for this company. In fact they don’t even deserve 1 star! They don’t pick up their phones, they don’t respond to emails. I am the one constantly chasing them. It was meant to be a straightforward sale. Instead I am paying a mortgage of £711 per month for an empty house (I got rid of tenants) and having to renew and extend empty house insurance every month and the buyer is a cash buyer (all from savings)!!! What could possibly be the delay!!!!! Every month that goes by I am making a loss and I’ve told them this repeatedly. But they just don’t care. Purple Bricks should not be using this company! Awful experience, never again!!!!

Avoid this company. My transaction was not helped by all of their systems going down and no-one having access to their files (or even their phones). But beyond this I experienced repeated requests for the same information, erroneous requests for information from the seller that was later decided to be unnecessary, lack of response to emails and no availability on the phone, total lack of urgency (a no-chain transaction taking 4 months). And to cap it all off the fees were double what was quoted. My advice is to use a local firm with a person you can speak to easily or even go to see.

Beyond awful. Over two months now their public facing document portal eway has been down now. TWO MONTHS! We have some vague statements about a security breach but that's all we have,. When will it be back up? Don't know. What data has been lost? Don't know. When will my first time purchase of an empty property with no chain complete? No idea. The whole thing is farcical and you can see even see PPL posting fake reviews on Trust Piliot to stop their score sinking like a stone. Meanwhile, companies like Purple Bricks are still sending new customers to these law firms who are only partially up after the security breach. Couldn't make this stuff up if you tried.

I've tried to sell my house twice with them. Both 1st and 2nd time this has failed and I've lost my buyers. Over the period of about 6 months there was no way to communicate with conveyancer as 100% of the time automated system tells you he is busy, "please don't leave any massages as voicemail is not monitored". Emailed them number of times and each time I emailed conveyancer directly I've never had any response. Few call back after emailing and CC'd in head-office. Currently I've moved away to local company and "what a difference!" When my new solicitors asked to provide searches over they were ignored, I called PPL for this matter and got usual answer from receptionist saying they are unable to speak to me as all conveyancers are currently busy. I've decided to email PPL and CC in PPL head-office to get call back within 5min. I'm going to be very kind saying this company is one massive JOKE. A funny fact is that under almost every sinlge negative review someone from PPL will add "sorry..we are investigating... "-sure you have to as you clearly don't know whats going on in your own business

PPL are the most unprofessional firm to ever grace this existence. They are the slowest vapid much of air headed sloth people. They will not answer your calls or emails. They will just stop progressing your case, likely somewhere after they have taken their first fee and then leave you in limbo.

If you have been affected by PPL and are reading this why don't we get a Facebook group going, we could pool in our resources and maybe get a billboard or some ads posted and tell everyone just how awful they are. They don't care about these reviews. We should find a way to hurt them like they have hurt us, but not in our time but in their wallets. I'll be setting up a Facebook group in the new year on Janauary 2nd called PPL he worst conveyancers on the planet. Come join and let's see how they like it.

Cannot stress enough - avoid at all costs. This company are worse than useless, the customer service doesn’t exist, clients treated like something they stood in. Documents lost, phone calls not answered, emails ignored. Purple Bricks need to take accountability as they recommended using this company, indeed I was told I would have to pay Purple Bricks if I chose to use another company. 12 weeks in and still no further forward. Has anyone been successful in using another company and not having financial penalty?

Utterly appalling. Untruthful, unprofessional, impossible to get hold of. Still waiting 6 months on for responses to simple questions. Emails ignored. For past month my conveyancers mobile has had the message 'technical difficulty, please try later' Have suggested that PPL use some of the thousands I am paying them to splurge out on a new phone for him as my money doesn't appear to be being used to bring about completion. No chain involved, I have done more legwork than them. Do not use alderley at PPL if you value your sanity, health or financial well-being. Zero stars

The sale process of our property been going on for over 9 months now, the Buyer is ready to buy and she got cash waiting for us, we are ready to sell, and every thing is in Place in order to complete. There is no Way of contacting these useless clowns. They not responding to any form of contact.
I'm planning to create a series of around 60 short review and explainer videos about this company, and optimise it so well that no one ever use them again. I will reveal all of their dirty secrets.
They are ruining my life and make us waste almost a year of our life for this. Bunch of clowns a specially the people who manage this company.

We aren’t using these but our sellers are. Today we are meant to be completing our solicitors sent over our money 9:15am it’s now 3pm and estate agents and our solicitors can’t get through to them. Completely unresponsive, not even one form of contact to say they are working on it just completely ignored. I will never use this in future and put anyone off using them. I’m 36 weeks pregnant, we have no chain above us as sellers are moving in with parents and they just cause more stress on top of an already stressful house move.

Have they lost all our records and documents?
We have lost confidence in Premier Property Lawyers.
We were supposed to have exchanged on the 15th of November 2021 and be in our new home by now.

Today the conveyancer told us that he still hasn’t received the management pack.
However, we spoke to our management company who confirmed that they sent the management pack 2 weeks ago, all documented in the email trail.

The conveyancer also told us that the land registry hasn’t sent him the lease yet. This has been requested 4 time within a month, again email trail confirms.
I suspect it was sent to them before the outage.

They are also claiming that they are missing the TR1 from our purchase side which was also confirmed to have been sent a few weeks ago.

In our opinion this looks like Premier Property Lawyers has lost all our documents and records and now trying to cover this up with complete BS.

To say the least we are extremely distressed by the situation of both the computer outage and the loss of key legal documents

All we know from friends is that it is very hard to work with solicitors but it is not true if you find the right one. We a very happy we found you. We can't believe how helpful you are. From the beginning to the end we received all the information about every step. It was very easy to get in touch by email and phone, answer all our questions and regularly update. I am not one for leaving bad reviews about a company but the complete lack of information or updates from them has left us speechless.
We were supposed to complete at the end of October/beginning of November but due to a couple of simple queries (which took ages to sort out) we were then looking to exchange the week of the cyber-attack, but since then – nothing, zilch!
We have called every number, left messages, emailed numerous times and eventually got through to someone who said they couldn't update us at all and that our Conveyancer is on holiday?!
Its ridiculous, ANY sort of update/timescale it would be appreciated but they appear to have gone radio silent. Shocking service.

Completely USELESS. I went with PPL as I was recommended to use them by the estate agent I was using, Strike. Apparently they are linked and I was told this would improve efficiency. 4 and half months later and there is still no sign of completion. Communication was shocking even prior to the system issue they have been experiencing. I have been trying to contact the conveyancer assigned to my case for over 4 weeks. She would never reply to my emails and evry time I called I was told she was not available. The first two weeks this was due to her being on leave apparently which she never told me about and therefore had no contact with anyone while she was away. Then the system issue hit. This has been nearly 3 weeks that their systems have been down and apart from the last 2 days I HAD NO COTNACT WHAT-SO-EVER during the whole period from anyone at the company. It was only my persistence in chasing them that finally I received an email, no phone call just an email. A complete disgrace of a company and DO NOT USE THEM.

This company is a disgrace. Progress was painfully slow anyway as they pass stuff back and forward between offices. Every time a letter comes in - add a week for it to be 'reviewed' by their 'specialist team' and then acted upon by the conveyancer. My purchase was an easy one. Nothing new, nothing complicated, no chain either end. A cash purchase with the cash ready to go. 5 months so far - rubbish.
Then they get hacked. Nearly 3 weeks and they still are not functioning. No apology, no information, no updates. No declaration if personal financial and property details have been breached or lost. Nothing. No backup plan, no business continuity plan - very shoddy greedy company that does not put its clients at the front of their requirements.
Apparently the conveyancers CAN see my files - but still no progress in last 3 weeks. If they CAN still see files, what is all the smoke screen about? Personally I think the silence is ominous and maybe company is about to go bust. No doubt many will walk away and use another solicitor to complete, nobody will be taken on and they are likely to be facing severe claims for disruption, delays and breach of contract. How can they survive at all?
I have decided to sack them. They will get no money from me. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

Since the data breach, they haven’t even had the grace to apologise despite causing havoc to me and thousands of others. There should be a 0* or minus *. PPL acted for my buyers who sadly having paid Purple Bricks up front had no option but to use PPL. Initially I acted for myself as allowed by law. They were utterly incompetent and negligently did not realise until the 11th hour that my buyers lender would not, for some reason they wont disclose other than in the TSB's Terms and Condition for Conveyancers handbook (you think PPL would actually know that), allow me to act for myself. Having had to amend their poorly drafted documents including the TR1, correct spellings I then had to employ a solicitor to take over from me to do the exchange of contracts and completion. PPL are a discredit to any conveyancer. I will be doing my utmost to have the company, and their associated other conveyancing companies, struck off from the Council of Licensed Conveyancers and removed from TSB's list of conveyancers. I would urge others to do the same, report to Trading Standards and make claims on PPL's professional indemnity insurance.

I wish I could give them zero stars. My buyer is using this firm, and I wish they weren't. It is a chain free, chas buy, vacant property that was intructed at the beginning of JUNE. This security breech has been a joke and has left me tackling a mortgage as well as my own rent as a single Mother while they drag things out and I am now up to my neck in debt as I wait for this sale to go through. I have taken days off work due to stress and am sincerely fed up.
Don't use them. Even before the security breech they were awful. I imagine they are going to have A LOT of very frustrated customers ready to get compensation and I will be one of them.

I changed conveyancer after PPL did literally nothing for a month. Vendors stayed with them. They've repeatedly ignored my solicitor's emails, dragging out a simple sale with no chain for months. I've been waiting for them to provide exchange and completion dates for a month, now discover that they've been hacked, presumably with copies of my passport, tax documents, bank statements etc still on file.
The thing that really sticks in my craw is that they haven't apologised to their customers, despite leaving a lot of people in awful circumstances. Their website claims their systems are back up but this is clearly not true. No integrity whatsoever. The CLC should shut them down.

Having he misfortune of dealing with yourselves for over 8 months having my buyer pull out on four previous occasions due to your negligence,incompetence,unprofessional ethics I am now likely to lose this sale for a 5 th and final time because in over two weeks you have not contacted my purchasers solicitor as promised on numerous occasions. A simple task that does not require your computers to be running.During the last two weeks I have requested you to perform this simple task having attempted to call yourselves over 100 times and countless emails.today I have spoken to a call person on 4 separate Oscar explaining that you need to telephone the buyers solicitors by 2pm in order for this sale not to collapse and yet again you have failed to show any professionalism in doing so.What type of company has a system failure for two weeks, cannot communicate to their customers,is totally inoperable ,takes over 8 months to finalise a house sale STILL WITH OUT A COMPLETION DATE. We were suppose to complete 18 October now 17 November and you have done nothing in this time. Not even received a call from the person dealing with ( alledgedly) my case.
I have lost over £11000 due to having to continually reduce the house price because of your inabilitues to do your job and will now be seeking legal advice with regard recompense for your irresponsible unethical conduct.
The stress, mayhem caused by your total lack of care has made both myself and my wife ill and I would suggest that anyone else with similar issues reading this make their concerns known to the legal ombudsmen,trading standards ect in order to get the perpetrators of this cowboy outfit to be made accountable for ruining people's lives.

Awful at replying to emails or returning phone calls. 2 weeks to get an answer to a simple question seems to be the norm. If you want a huge headache, then feel free to use them. I will make sure I talk all around me to NOT use them. My case has been going on since 5th May and now their system is down, no one is replying to you although I am supposed to exchange in 5 days (already moved back one completion day from last month as solicitor wasn’t ready , most likely will also push back that second one looking at the way it is going ) slow service. Coming up to 7 months soon and still no reply from

I am not actually a client, but as my Mum is purchasing, and using another of the Simplify Groups Lawyers, and I am selling and my buyer is using this company, my whole family including 2 small children are going to be affected - in fact my grandchildren will be homeless on 1st December if this doesn't progress. PPL keep coming on these reviews with their 'wooly apologies', my buyer has completed the 'form' 3 times now and has had no response! They don't seem to give a toss about the impact they are having on a lot of peoples' lives? Where are my family going to live unless my purchase goes through? We don't have money to burn, my sale is for financial reasons in the first place! I am unwell and disabled and feel as though I am going to have a nervous breakdown with all this stress - the updates say nothing, we need timeframes! I can't book anyone to move me without a date, as it is I need someone who can do everything as for medical reasons I am unable to lift or move anything, the chap that was going to do it has been awaiting a date from me since the middle of September, and then this happens!!

PPL tell us something useful instead of this!!

Without doubt, the WORST company I have ever ever had the displeasure of dealing with.
Unresponsive, useless, poorly run.
It took me 4 months to complete on the most simple of purchases (No chain, no searches, first time buyer). The conveyancer simply could not be bothered to open my file. I had my conveyancer changed without notice or formal hand over. I missed the stamp duty deadline for no good reason. I had incorrect amounts added to my bill. Its 3 months since my completion and they still owe me retention amounts. I have called and called and emailed and emailed and they are so UNRESPONSIVE and INADEQUATE, they seem to be allergic to picking up the phone. Their excuse for not releasing my retention amount for 3 months is a "system failure" for one week in November?! Will be reporting to the legal ombudsman for gross lack of professionalism and complete inability to operate in a field of law.

Please be aware that this review is written in response to the current IT outage and the way PPL has communicated with their customers. Prior to this situation, I was very happy with their service and found my two conveyancers to friendly, efficient and hard working. Equally, since this system outage has happened, I have always been able to contact the company and speak to a member of staff who have done their best to answer my questions. And there in lies the issue because no one can tell me what is going on, what to expect, and more importantly, some idea, however rough, of time frames involved. I have tried very hard to be generous and to understand that maybe there is a good reason for this but as time goes on, my generosity is running out. This lack of clarity leads to a terrible situation where scare mongering and rumour abound on Social Media and whilst you could argue that it is my choice to read those things, I like many others are only doing so to see if any one has any updates or information as there is absolutely nothing coming from PPL other than generic, woolly statements, posted intermittently. For lots of people, moving house is exciting but for some, there is a back story that involves painful human situations that many are struggling with. To provide any of your customers with so little clarity is unacceptable but you also need to understand that for some, this lack of openness ( even just to say we can’t tell you what is going on because of …) is causing real suffering.

7 months on and still not exchanged. I have had to constantly phone them for updates. My Solicitor even called me the other day asking for Id that was uploaded 5 months earlier. Simple tasks drag on for weeks and I actually had to go online to raise and sort queries out with the local council. I am not a solicitor!

We were due to exchange last Monday and still no phone calls or exchange. My Conveyancer has gone off on his holiday since last week. Hope is is having a great time. Meanwhile we are paying for storage as we have moved out and the cost and stress of staying in holidays.

Every time I phone I extract no information and they have no plan B to sort everything out. Just answering calls seems to be their main priority. I have given up calling them as it is pointless.

We have not been kept up to date with any details or with what is going on with the sale. It is a cash buyer and chain free and we are expected to pay for this absolutely appalling service. Now the system is down we cannot even contact them for any updates. I would not recommend using this firm.

Terrible service even before the system went down, basic tasks that can be done very early and in a couple of days are not being looked it till the very end and takes forever.
I have been trying to complete a purchase of a chain free property for 6 months now and still no idea when we can exchange or complete.
You need to chase them daily to get updates and feedback to your enquiries.
Now the system is down and I can’t reach them by any mean, filled there form 4 times and still no response.
I am not really sure what to do now as they have my deposit as well so can’t go to another solicitor.
Will never think about using them again even if they were the last company on earth.

A family member is due to move tomorrow, just been told by estate agents that it cannot be done due to lines being down etc! My family member is 66 and suffers with PTSD and anxiety and she has had no contact with these guys in a few days, upon trying to resolve the situation she's out of pocket for removal vans and people have taken days off work to help her with her move so everyone's at a massive loss!!! Unprofessional in my opinion, filled out many forms and is yet to get a response from anyone! States online that they have sorted some out so dated moves can still go ahead but yet she clearly isn't allowed to move! I find it rather discussing that no one has been in contact nor answered the poxy phone when we have called! She's waited since June for this move and now likely not happening...... Discussed! Being such a big firm you would think they would sort the system out and get everyone moved! Never known anything like this in my life, what's a big mess

Following 48 hours of zero updates from PPL….constant chasing, begging for an update with zero client care…. Maybe someone in authority will see this and respond… can’t get any kind of truthful answer regarding failed completion and what homeless clients are to do? PPL continue to spout “there’s nothing we can do” fobbing us off, having shut down their systems with no contingency… largest online conveyancing firm and they can’t complete exchanged files as have no access to any systems or a back up- oh unless you call and speak to 5 different people then you might get told they’re prioritising some completions…. Just not yours…. I’m not sure how a firm in charge of thousands of pounds of other peoples money daily could be worse- I’d highly recommend if you would prefer not to breach a contract and be homeless you use a different firm!

If I reviewed based on the first 22 weeks of my house sale this would have been 1 star. I had two different conyevancers, neither of which would ever answer my calls or emails. I was left waiting 8 weeks for them to pass something on to me that I needed to action and I only got this because I rang multiple times asking if there was anything to do as nothing seemed to be happening. However, my case was then moved to Emily Aris who actually does things. She replied to my emails, she spoke to relevant parties for things that needed to be actioned, and within a matter of weeks my sale was complete. Her review is 5 star. I would say it appears it depends who you get looking after your case.

Absolute nightmare. The vendors used these idiots and it is the worst experience we have ever had in buying our home. They lie on a daily basis that it becomes normal to them, that is when they communicate with you. The worst part by far is they WILL take money from you ( £174 ) to complete on the day you agreed 3 weeks prior, so get ready for the threat!!. They then insisted on a further £1200, but when severly challenged they backed down with no reasoning!!. LIARS, THIEVES AND TOTALLY INCOMPETENT AND REMEMBER WHEN READING THIS THEY WHERE ACTING FOR THE SELLERS, THAT IS HOW MUCH IMPACT THEY HAVE.

we were the victims of this company who were dealing with the purchase at the bottom of our chain, after 4 months they raised 4 queries on the day of exchange and completion. The chain of 5 was left with all possessions in vans until storage could be arranged. Refusals to take phone calls from our agents was normal and an attitude of complete indifference to the plight of the families involved was evident. Avoid if you can. If any of your chain is using these people - be very careful

Sadly both our buyer and seller are using this poor excuse of a ‘business.’ Emails from our solicitor go ignored with long delays before unsatisfactory responses are received. In the end we resorted to speaking directly to either end of our chain. A transaction started in early May is nowhere near completion due to their incompetence. A pattern repeated when my partner sold his house to someone using them last year. Avoid unless you enjoy DIY conveyancing where you pay someone else to rubber stamp your own work.

I cannot stress enough - AVOID.
I honestly don't know how these solicitors have got so many positive reviews. All I can say is, avoid like the plague. And if your buyers are using these, then be prepared for a very, very long sales process! We sold our flat back in April to first time buyers, and purchased a property with no upward chain. We have been ready to complete since June; however the incompetence of these solicitors has resulted in severe delays to the process. They will send queries in sporadic bursts, so much so that it's gotten to the point where the managing agents of our flat started charging us £95 for each round of queries they sent through, because they were fed up of responding to multiple queries, particularly where the information was included in the lease/managers pack.

It's impossible to deal with ANYTHING quickly. This becomes even more frustrating when they then send the same queries back to your solicitors!

Our buyers are equally frustrated, and despite all parties chasing (our solicitor has resorted to calling them twice a day for updates), we're getting nowhere. Literally weeks have now passed where no progress has been made at all because of these solicitors. It's apparently now been escalated to a senior conveyancer and we're yet to see the progress. It's now looking like this is going to go into October and, while there was a potential we could've avoided paying stamp duty at all, it's now looking like we're going to be paying the full amount. On top of the stress of chasing, we're also being chased daily by the seller of the house we're purchasing (and their estate agents) as our seller is now getting itchy feet meaning we're also at risk of losing the house we're buying. We are all literally at our wits end and don't know what else to do at this stage.

If you find out your buyers are using these solicitors, I would recommend that you warn them against it, or even consider finding new buyers. It is honestly not worth the hassle.

If you're considering using these for your own conveyancing, please, please, please don't.

*Edit 1* - been asked to forward the case reference number (which I included in the details for filling out this review) without telling me where to forward it to!

I've decided I'm going to keep this thread updated so that everyone can see the absolute nightmare we're having with communicating with these solicitors.

*EDIT 2* Update this morning from our solicitors: We were promised on Friday (10th) that Premier Property Lawyers would be reviewing our responses to their latest round of queries would be looked at that day (they were sent well over a week before but they claimed they didn't receive the emails, but then magically did). Our solicitor chased on first thing on Monday morning to be told that they didn't get round to looking at them on Friday because they were dealing with completions (lucky them!) and that they promised them they would be looking at them on Monday. Our solicitor called at lunchtime to check - no update. Our solicitor has called again this morning (Tuesday) to be told they didn't get round to looking at them yesterday either, but they *promise* they will look at them today. In addition to this, we've received another text from our seller today, telling us that he's at risk of losing his house (which isn't in the chain) and needs a date confirmed by the end of the day. We're about to lose the house we were purchasing because of this firm.

*EDIT 3* Premier Property Lawyers have tried to flag this review as a non-legitimate review because I am not their client. I have sent evidence as such back to trustpilot to show that we have had legitimate interactions with them.

Yet again, another day with no progress from Premier Property Lawyers. We believe it comes down to one final query (which is a complete non-issue). We're in direct contact with our buyers, and their mortgage provider contacted them yesterday to try to resolve the query. Unsurprisingly, she got nowhere: "They are refusing to email me due to GDPR restrictions but are happy to give me information over the phone which makes no sense!"

We have chased Strike (our estate agents that we sold through, and who recommended our buyers to Premier Property Lawyers) to see if they can help us get something resolved.

6 months after our offer was accepted and we're still waiting. Our case handler has been on annual leave twice and off for a covid ping during which they apparently weren't working from home.

We made many unreturned contact attempts. If you leave a 1 star review they might give you a call or email.

We were originally told that it would be slightly over 1400 (I can't remember the exact figure, something like £1437.01) for everything included and that it may take up to 4 months due to covid.

Actual case:
6 months and now close to £2000. Our completion date is not in sight. The registration of title hasn't even been submitted. ( 4 weeks ago they claimed the only reason for this was that the website was down).

Meanwhile I'm still paying rent.

I could go on and on about this company. I'm leaving reviews everywhere I possibly can because they have just been so awful. It's looking as though it'll be at least 7 months before we can move into our new home ???? it was supposed to be ready for summer time. It would have been the first time I had a garden. We couldn't arrange our sons birthday party because we didn't know where we were going to be. They really have given us a truly horrific experience. Stressful and upsetting.

We're all still waiting after nearly 20 weeks since the offer was first accepted. There's doesn't seem to be any reason why things are moving so slowly, with each time they're asked to do anything simple it takes weeks!
They've been asked for a really simple report and it took 7 weeks before we then managed to convince the lender that it was no longer required so we could proceed. Even with this, it has still taken weeks and weeks to get anywhere.
They generally don't seem interested in this, or supportive at all!
Wouldn't recommend to anyone!

I used this shambles of an organisation when i brought my house (6 months for a no chain transaction). I now have the misfortune that my buyer is using them when i am selling - utterly useless - exchange should have been three days ago and my seller and the estate agent cant get hold of them. Avoid at all costs unless you like wasting money and stressing.

Uncommunicative - very difficult to reach our solicitor.

The solicitor went missing on exchange date. It was taken on by one his colleagues who then couldn't locate the appropriate paperwork.
Same solicitor went missing on completion day.

Our case was picked up by a colleague who called to say we should have transferred funds to them the previous week and our solicitor should have told us.

Also we were missing paperwork which we should also have been told about the previous week.

So with the removal company loading up I raced down to our bank and had to transfer funds and complete the missing paperwork.

Stressful? Just a bit!!

Overall I have found Premier Property Lawyers to be:
Unprofessional
Inept
Hard to reach
Disorganised and lacking in the skill or knowledge required to be a competent conveyancer.

I feel embarrassed to say I paid them to be put under such stressful conditions. Especially when I consider I did some of their work for them.

Avoid at all costs.

This company have managed to mess up every single thing they have touched
They are beyond incompetent and the only reason why anyone should use this company is if they want:
The phone never answered
Emails never answered
To do a majority of the data collation for enquiries themselves
To be lied to about how things are going

And finally

To be in the situation I am in right now - where at 4:30 they realised they had sent a letter asking for a mortgage redemption statement and misworded it meaning that I have a van full of my belongings on the drive, an empty house and to be told that I won’t be completing my sale tomorrow and that it won’t be until after the weekend

And that’s after it’s taken 19 WEEKS TO GET TO THIS POINT AND THEY COULDNT EVEN DO THE FINAL JOB RIGHT!

One star is one star to many!
Only once I have heard off my conveyor and that was to tell me she had an argument with the other solicitor. Never reply to emails, not even acknowledging them. They have spoilt my whole experience of my purchase and I even doubt they have the proper qualification to do the job, if anyone works there reads this, do yourself a favour and get another job.
Absolutely the worst company in the whole of the UK and I will make it my mission to take business off them by telling everyone I know to avoid and get a local solicitor, that includes any dealings with purple bricks selling or buying, otherwise you will have 6 months of pure stress. RUN RUN RUN

One star is being kind. Takes forever for them to do anything, currently 4 weeks past the completion/sale of our house (our chain including the house we are trying to buy all agreed sales within a week of each other, all relatively new homes, all on managed land). we exchanged on the sale of our previous property 5 weeks ago to avoid the chain collapsing Couple this company with a certain Purple estate agent and you have a recipe for disaster. The management company (development is on managed land) were not even alerted to our purchase until 25th June which is just shy of 2 months from when our offer was accepted and solicitors put in place.
It appears that they either take on too many clients and cannot manage them all in a professional & timely manner or they are just incompetent.
The house we are trying to buy is a 6 year old, 3 bedroom detached house not a 200 year old mansion!
If you want stress, extra costs and potentially lose your buyer or house sale then give this company a try. due to stamp duty holiday and ensure their client still had a buyer).

Absolutely rubbish company, I wish I had read these reviews before, what can I say? Nothing positive, are these people even trained?
I have no idea when I’m going to complete this sale, No chain No mortgage, cash sale but my conveyancer seems to make it up as she goes along, kept asking for details about the extension on several occasions but guess what?
There was no extension! Can’t even get the simple things right and puts more unnecessary enquiries forward, over 10 emails this week and not one response, absolute joke, so now in actually thinking about pulling out just to get rid of her and start again with a new house and a local solicitor. Any advice welcome please.

This company have ruined a chain of 5 properties. They have been the conveyancer for the buyer of first house in the chain. They have been so bad that after 4 months the buyer has sacked them and started again with a proper solicitor. They are now dragging there heels with the passing of information. They do not respond, they lie, and generally ruin everything. I would not give even one star if that was possible. Do yourself a favour and stay away from Premier Property Lawyers (Liars).

Like many others I believed purplebricks. My mistake. If I had seen this website, or many others saying how awful they are I wouldn't have used them. They truly are terrible. We are cash buyers. Sellers also use this company. Yet despite both being in the same office, miscommunication, delays, and outright lies. They keep demanding the same documents even when we have sent them, saying 'oops yes you have already sent them'. My partner wants to cut her wrists because of these liars.

Do NOT enter a chain with or instruct with this “company” they were dearer then our local firm for a start as we were quoted via Purplebricks

Unfortunately our seller is with them and we’re on week 16 no completion date in site
Their an absolute joke of a company
They Don’t answer the phone to our solicitors or their own client
If you leave reviews on other sites they get them removed

They’re currently requesting documents such as section 38 and 106 at week 16 which we were informed should’ve been done when the searches were requested. The worse thing is both houses are on the same estate and are bound by the same management company and council
The excuse every time is waiting for 3rd parties the same 3rd parties that had the same paperwork back to our solicitors at week 6
Our solicitor has been ready for 7 weeks now
The whole chain is at risk of collapsing and they couldn’t care less!

Purplebricks should never of recommended them or given the option to defer payments
we have been told by Purplebricks they take a commission from them so they couldn’t careless how good they are
We’ve complained to Purplebricks MD and email him daily still no moving date

Something really needs doing about these kind of solicitors
It’s unnecessary stress and heartache on what should be an exciting happy time
Our sellers won’t appoint a new solicitor so we have no option but to stay in this chain or look for a new home

Absolutely gutted as we did everything right

DO NOT Use them or buy/ sell with anyone that is using them!!!

So my experience seemed hopeful to begin with. Everyone I talked to was helpful and I was able to reach people with ease and got emails back. However, there was a lot of "I will get back to you on that..." which dragged on for months! Some of the answers I received when checking on things were worrying, such as "Do I send this by post to the address of the conveyancer?" and the response was "Uhm.....yeah. Sure. Im not 100% to be honest but send it there and we will redirect it if its wrong."
I am finally changing solicters but they have endangered the sale and wasted so much of mine and the selllers money nevermind the mental strain this has put on me. I have anxiety and depression a nd for the first time in years I had a full meltdown.

People I talked to were lovely but useless. DO NOT USE THIS FIRM

Absolutely awful! The house purchase is now at risk and they still will not respond to anyone. It took them two months to send draft contracts. Basic pre contract enquiries have been outstanding for a month and they will not respond to the other solicitor or the estate agent. Please save yourself months and months of stress and worry by choosing a different solicitor to this awful company.

PPL are unprofessional - just awful, you can never get to speak to anyone, they don’t return phone calls or respond to e-mails, have no management line to escalate your calls, just a call centre. So far a straightforward purchase and sale has taken 5 months. I suggest anyone thinking of using them does their own research first and not rely on a recommendation from purple bricks. I find it hard to believe companies are allowed to operate in this way! Their complaints procedure is also not fit for purpose. Honestly I wouldn’t wish this company on my worst enemy. Use them at your peril. The most stressful company to deal with ever!

I would not recommend this shoddy, third-rate outfit to my worst enemy. They came by recommendation of Purplebricks who will also be hearing from me. From the outset, they were virtually impossible to reach and rarely returned calls. My first conveyancer was downright rude on a number of occasions and didn’t pick up on basic details that I, as a layman did just by reading documents. Their inaction cost me a purchase, having taken NINE MONTHS to process basic paperwork. I completed on a sale with them in mid-June 2021 but they kept the proceeds for nearly a further two weeks, choosing to call me on the morning of my move when knee deep in boxes to tell me there was an “issue” with my account number. It took THIRTY TWO ignored emails and the threat of legal action before they finally paid me. Take my advice and use a reputable firm of local solicitors. You may pay more but it’s worth every penny for peace of mind. Premier Property Lawyers should be sued under the Trades Description Act: there’s nothing premier about them at all.

Awful, avoid at all cost and get a proper firm of solicitors

They will not answer emails or phone calls, it seems that they do not assign a full time solicitor to deal with clients merely leave all emails and phone calls to whoever is working at time., should have applied for mortgage a week ago, now less than 42 hours to completion and no-one knows what is happening, will not respond to messages of any type, from solicitors, estate agents or clients, whole chain will now collapse with no idea of what is happening.

We heard of this company only recently because they are acting on behalf of a vendor lower down the chain. We all agreed a moving date a month ago but with two days left date and still no sign of an exchange date we hear that PPL have 'overlooked' some council enquiries. Having booked removal companies, etc. we all stand to lose thousands of pounds due the the ineptitude of this company - and that's before taking the stamp duty holiday into account. I don't understand why such companies are allowed to continue to trade.

Totally hopeless. A chain free sale dragged on for 10 months before our buyer simply got fed up. Money down the drain, having paid to release leasehold papers that our solicitor couldn't manage to forward on. Nothing checked properly, with no communication for weeks at a time.

Avoid!!!

I could have gone to Uni and done a law degree then acted for myself in my property transaction in less time than I have spent being on hold or waiting for call backs from Premier Property Lawyers.

Really not good their lack of availability and just things that have gone missing in terms of emails not replied to or information not passed onto other solicitors is really bad.

Massively regret going with them based on the purple bricks recommendation.

This company is shocking!
We are using them for both our purchase and our sale and our buyers are using them for their purchase of our property.
Trying to contact them is a nightmare, you'll be on hold for hours and if you do manage to get through they won't be able to help you. They say they're open until 8pm most evenings but I haven't been able to get a response past 4pm.
2 days before we were due to exchange and complete we are being told one of the solicitors is on leave and so this won't be done for a while.
Don't make the same mistake that we did and go for the cheaper option, pay more and go for someone that will actually get the job done as our sale and purchase may fall through because of them!

Awful, slow, rude, no customer care. they could not care less if your house falls through, Can never get to speak to on the phone, emails are ignored. No urgency at all and no sense of your in safe hands.
Very stressful process and would not recommend at all and have also advised our broker to stop recommending them.

***** Update the process gets no better...my house was sold over 10 days ago and have not received the money for the sale of my property , or been able to get hold of anyone by phone or email.....so I have no house or money. This is disgusting and in my eyes theft *****

Like the majority of larger companies they have an online portal where you complete your forms online and upload your documents, which is easy enough.

But that doesn't then stop you getting emails and phone calls saying you have not completed your forms...and you have x number of outstanding tasks, even though you have completed everything..not a great start.

The second is don't expect to speak to anyone when you try and call them, and don't expect a phone call back either. If you are lucky enough to get through to someone the answer will be, sorry you will need to speak to your representative to answer that question and guess what they never answer!

Premier Property Lawyers have added stress into selling a property, due to poor communications.

Used as part of Purple Bricks, who were great.

Advice for Purple Bricks, get rid of Premier Property Lawyers and for anyone else , I would highly recommend you do not choose Premier Property Lawyers”

If there is a service to avoid Premier Property Lawyers is it. I don’t say this lightly but unfortunately I am correct. Very poor communication, always having to chase them to do anything, always making excuses and passing wrong information to others to cover their failings. Moving home is stressful enough without having to deal with companies such as this.

I have just completed on the sale of our house and the purchase of our new house and I can honestly say that dealing with Premier Property Lawyers has made it the most stressful process of my life.

Initially, our conveyancer explained that things would take longer than normal due to the COVID pandemic, this I understand and have no issue with, but he seemed disinterested from the outset and was very negative about getting anything done quickly. We went with them anyway due to the purple bricks option to postpone their payment until after sale if you used Premier.

Throughout the process, we started to notice that things didn’t quite seem right. We were sending numerous emails that weren’t being replied to, if we emailed through two or three questions then on the times he did reply he would only reply to the first question, ignoring the rest. This led to more emails being sent and us getting frustrated.

This carried on throughout the whole process, it was a horrible, stressful process from start to finish.

We also found that mistakes were made all the way through, some of these only came to light towards the end causing a delay in exchange. A few of these mistakes are as follows;

My partner was a first time buyer and had a LISA, I was not and was selling my first house so couldn’t have a LIsA. We told our conveyancer about this right at the start, he did nothing about sorting it. We had to contact the LISA company and start the process of releasing the funds. In the end, we found out that our conveyancer hadn’t even sent off the paperwork and had ignored their emails months ago. We found this out three days before were hoping to complete, leading to some very stressful phone calls and a mad rush to try and get the funds released on time.

Time and time again I was asked to complete a LISA declaration, the first line of which states “I confirm I am a first time buyer.” Clearly I was not but my conveyancer couldn’t understand that It wasn’t my account...

When our contracts first came through, the contracts for the new house were in one name instead of both. When we rang to see what had happened we were told we must had done the starter forms wrong, this wasn’t the case and the mistake was solely on their part. We never received any apology. The lady we spoke to on this occasion (our conveyancer was off on leave without mentioning it to us) was very rude and dismissive saying this must be our fault without even looking at the file.

Enquiries that were sent to our vendors took 6 and a half weeks to come back, and these were simple enquiries. Whilst I appreciate this isn’t our solicitors fault, he only ever chased up the enquiries when we asked him to, never did he email them off his own back.

In the end, I was in contact with my buyers, and the estate agents that we were buying from. When my solicitor would contact me to say “we are still waiting their replies” I felt like I was giving him more of an update as to what was happening! Our estate agents were a god send in putting pressure on their solicitors and I genuinely feel that if it was left to our solicitor, then god knows when we would have moved.

Thankful, our solicitor went off a week before we eventually completed and a female called Sabine took over. She was extremely helpful and apologetic for everything that happened, she seemed to genuinely care and she really did get us over the finish line. If we had had her from the outset I feel like this would have been a very different review.

In the end, we moved in. But this was around 6 weeks later than we wanted. We only found out on the Friday that we were moving on the Monday. Premier were a nightmare to deal with, at times we were ready to pull out because we just didn’t want the stress.

I will never use Premier Property Lawyers again, they were rude, horrendous customer service and sloppy work. There are so many better firms out there and I would strongly advise you to keep on searching.

Just completed a purchase with PPL acting for us based on advice from the estate agent. Dreadful service, staff overworked, emails and phone messages not returned. Made what is a stressful process significantly worse and delayed things until the last minute so they could invoke an extra clause to increase the fees despite all parties being ready to exchange earlier. The delay was of their making which was really underhand and unprofessional. If you have an offer on your house from a chain that includes PPL representing a buyer do yourself a huge favour and decline the offer unless you want unnecessary delays and stress. If an estate agent insists you use ‘their’ estate agents stand your ground and say no for your own health and sanity.

since 2 months my case is with them, already lost a 1 buyer because each time I tried to call the conveyancer is not available, unable to leave voicemail, unable to get any advice. Their service is below any expectation. Strongly advice to avoid. Update- 3 days after leaving this review all my sale files has disappeared of their system, discovered after phone call from estate agent. They clearly don't know what they're doing

Terrible law firm. Avoid at all costs. Negligent, unresponsive and lawyers that are completely incompetent. My partner had them stall his property purchase for over 5 months with Lola acting for him who is honestly the worst lawyer we’ve encountered, for them to tell us 5 months into a lease extension that they cannot act for him. Honestly the worst experience. AVOID.

My daughter is a FTB purchasing a house. Her offer was accepted in december last year and here we are in May no nearer to a completion date. They are not responding to our solicitors emails. Every time we contact our solicitor they say they are chasing the sellers solicitor but not getting any response.
It has been a really infuriating few months and the problems are still not resolved. A very stressful experience to say the least.
If you are considering using this company please, please think again and at least read some of the other critical reviews before taking the plunge.

The company was not my choice, but one of Yopa. I was frankly appalled to see the awful reviews received online and given the amount of false starts and interchanging of personnel involved with the sale, plus being in a different country thousands of miles away from the property was an arduous and soul destroying one that Premier Property did absolutely nothing to alleviate. The fact they actually sold the property after many months of personal distress. and disruption to my life and finances comes over as a matter of luck, rather than good judgement. My cat could have shown more involvement in proceedings at many times throughout the exchange. I have reluctantly given one star here in order to make a report at all. The offices of Premier Property would best be served by levelling the building to the ground and constructing more useful like a car park or public convenience which would serve the area far better overall. As I am a gentleman, I will not put into vulgar terms of pejorative how truly I feel about the way this company has conducted its so- called business. You have somehow managed to stain the already sullied reputation of estate agents even further than anybody's wildest and devastated imaginings. In short, I have not been impressed in any remotest measure. I trust this review will be read and I await any response with the keenest anticipation.

AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!! I wasn't using them but the buyer of my flat was. The entire process ended up taking 8 months due to their sheer incompetence and inability to understand the urgency of matters. The onward purchase of my house was very nearly derailed thanks to them. Point blank refused to reply to emails from my solicitors for several weeks and when they did they lied about having not received anything from them (I know exactly when they received the information as my solicitor cc'ed me in to all emails to them). Certainly don't appoint them and think very carefully before accepting an offer from a buyer that has instructed them. I will be selling another house in the next few months and will be refusing offers from any potential buyer that has PPL anywhere in the chain. Disgraceful firm. No other professional I dealt with had a single good word to say about them. I'm guessing they're cheap but whatever deal they offer you, it isn't worth it trust me!!!

Awful service. Currently still trapped in the buying/selling process with them after 5 months. They are terrible, constantly changing who you are dealing with, they do not respond to calls & e-mails, and when they do, you go round in circles. They really do not care. Have complained to Purplebricks who recommended we use them. God they are just awful, so unprofessional, we are on the point of pulling out of the process and giving up due to the stress they cause by their inefficiency and don’t care attitude. Do your research and only use them at your peril ????

We are purchasing a holiday let through Strike who put us onto this firm for a quote as its supposed to be easier. What a mistake , 5 weeks in they realise they cant carry out conveyancing for holiday let ?? I wish I had got an independent quote which we obviously have now and it was cheaper and more efficient . We were gullible as we haven't bought or sold property for many years but have wasted so much time .
Not impressed and certainly wouldn't use again .

I implore anyone unwise enough to consider using these clowns to think again.the staggering incompetence of this firm beggars belief,their appalling service dragging out a simple conveyencing job for 9 long and painful months put my family through mental torture,avoiding contact,not returning calls,no empathy with clients,charging huge fees for mismanaging the business.frankly they do not deserve one star,I would give them no stars if I could.do yourself a favour-look elsewhere!

This is the worst service by far.
Always missing appointments and when you finally manage to get in touch with them they wouldn’t know what was the scheduled meeting about.
Not proactive, not helpful and simply do not support their client once you have made your first payment.
They are the specialist and you would expect them to do their checking review and update you as your case progresses. All my deadlines have been missed so far. Although being told that all the documents have been provided I am asked for new document on a weekly basis.
They ask information from the sellers solicitors and when these are received do not checked them and update them late adding more delay to the process.
This absence of professionalism is not acceptable.
And I am always reminded of the load of work - to this I say this is none of my business. I shouldn’t suffer of your success. If you have too much work employ more people. But I suggest employing more competent people preferably not as rude.
My honest advice is to stay away from these crooks.

This company is to be avoided at all costs. Our buyer has used them to purchase our house and because of them we've been held up for an additional 3 months.
They do not respond to emails or phonecalls. When you do call them you're on hold for at least 40 minutes.
Absolutely incompetent. I wish I knew about these reviews before accepting an offer from someone using them. Never again will I get involved with a chain that has this company attached to them.

We are not even using this firm, but we've definitely been effected by their inefficiency. Our buyers are using them and thanks to PPL, everyone's move in the chain has been seriously delayed. Concerning that they are still allowed to operate and take clients, given their insincerity, carelessness and downright ignorance. I'd advise anyone against using this firm, or even selling their property to someone who is their client - vile company.

It is such a pity that stars cannot be negative because if we could leave a minus three stars we would!
Our experience was nothing short of dreadful, in fact it was calamitous!
We were introduce to this shambles of a company by Hunters and we rue the day we agreed to use them.
All information was supplied to them as requested in good time. Some information was lost and resubmitted.
Our first conveyancer was incompetent to say the least, we are convinced that at one "telephone meeting" he was half asleep! He left the business but nobody told us! We only found out because our conveyancers name changed on the online portal that they use.
The simply don't care and they are so reactive, it really a case of "oh, we forgot to do that, we better as the client."
We sold a house to a buyer. No upward chain, no downward chain... One house, one buyer. How long do you think it took to sell?
a) Six weeks
b) 16 weeks
c) Nearly six months

Yep, you guessed it, the answer was C. And it would probably have been longer if we hadn't made a nuisance of ourselves.

Costs? Not too much less than a high street solicitor. We have learned our lesson, you get what you pay for! Stay away folks - if you value your sanity!

Poor poor service, slow lethargic and almost impossible to get through to your personal conveyancer. If you spoke to someone else and asked them to get the conveyancer to call you back, this rarely happened. Rather spoilt the whole house buying experience. Not the cheapest of services either and would passionately not recommend this to others.

Appealing. A catalogue of expensive errors, delay after lengthy delay, incompetence and senseless decision making. I complained and eventually, at seven weeks after everyone else was ready to complete, they said they couldn’t complete the purchase and left us high and dry needing to find a new solicitor. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

I don't even know where to start... My buyers are using PPL and we have been set up 2pm in the afternoon of said completion date still no word from a solicitor at PPL but a lovely (read that with sarcasm) lady who works there informs us that they don't even have the deposit, nor have they asked the buyer for it, let alone requested release of funds. This is after my house is loaded in a removal van and sat outside my new house, who is also loaded and sat outside their new house.
We still haven't actually heard from the solicitor looking after the case and my estate agent is the one now having to tell my buyers what to do in regards to exchanging.

Absolute jokers end to end, how are they even on the recommended lists for mortgage companies???

Super bad service and inconsistent, things aren't being done. If you call the solicitor it goes to just anybody, even when i talk to my own solicitor he doesn't seem like he knows his stuff. They are super late on responding in general. I would never use them.

3 months after Sale STC, we are still waiting for a Completion Date. The Date we wanted was today (7/12/2020) but with Premier Property Lawyers it's always tomorrow or maybe the day/week/month after. Gradually working our way through their Conveyancing (?) team -now on our 3rd conveyancer who - we are told - is a Deputy Manager. Case Activity (?) page records over 160 emails/phone calls between the interested parties! We are being treated with barely-disguised contempt by this outfit and PPLs' attitude has caused my wife to be quite poorly. Today, nothing has moved on the Case Activity page. I have contacted the CLC and Purple Bricks and this is on-going situation. Does this company not know how bad their reputation is fast becoming? We have a new home to go to and PPL are aware of this but they just do not care for their clients.

As a first buyer, I had a terrible experience with PPL, as they were delaying the whole process. The sellers were ready to exchange weeks ago, and they keep checking documents and asking the same questions again and again. As a result, the sellers have lost their new house to buy.

They usually take 3 days to check an email, and they never reply, you just see the updates on the online portal. If you are lucky, your conveyancer will answer the phone, if not, any other solicitor will randomly reply to your queries as they are not familiar with the case.

Imran Ali has been extremely rude with my Advisor and myself in several occasions, and we've never received one apology or an ounce of sympathy throughout the process.

Stay away from them if you want to buy your house on time.

They're quite simply not up to standard. Eway is a good platform in general and I liked how I could upload things online easily and see all the documents in one place. However, that's really where the positives end.

Early November we were asked by our solicitor if we could exchange on the 16th. We said yes. 2 days later, they told us they hadn't checked our source of funds yet and were missing some documents to evidence some of the sources. Quite incredible they left doing this until the very last minute - simply unfathomable incompetence. Why let a process go to a few days before exchange before even checking the buyer has the funds etc? I uploaded all my bank statements in August and presumed they'd done it.
Anyway, I gave them what they wanted immediately and didn;t think too much of it as it doesn't take long to look at a few statements.

After waiting around, I chased them up and they told me on the 27th it had been done and they'll let us know when to send the deposit shortly. Didn't hear anything, and now on the 3rd of December turns out they hadn't finished and are going back to do another basic thing that should have been done in August when they were first appointed.

The worst thing about all this is the lack of clarity and communication. They don't explain anything properly and when you ask politely, you're given a short response that they'll contact when there's news. They will not contact you pro-actively at any point - only when they want something or you ask them. This means you can go weeks on end worrying what's happening, your estate agent calling you wondering what's happening and the whole chain in limbo, looking at you as the reason, but you can't give them anything to quash any worries. Forget about calling - I have tried several times and never got through. There's a complete lack of customer service in everything they do and no urgency at all.

The big issue appears to be that the company is essentially a call centre with a few solicitors at the top, but most of the staff are office workers. This means if anything is even slightly out the ordinary with the process they have to go to their manager, wait to sign things off, send things to different teams, wait on that, etc etc. I've never been confident I'm always communicating with the conveyancer assigned to us - the emails they send are often of different fonts which would seem odd coming from the same person. This means what should be basic processes take much longer than they would with other solicitors.

I'm sure some people with incredibly basic transactions will get away with using them ok and think it was great. But for most of us they'll simply make your experience incredibly frustrating and show very little care for their clients. Use at your own risk.

We are trying to sell our property and our buyers are using PPL. The entire chain wanted to complete before Christmas however that is now now going to happen.

PPL keep sending question after question, always by post! We’ve asked nicely, firmly and recently demanded that they stop and reply by email, but they never do. It’s always post which takes 4-5 days to reach our solicitor.

Where do I start.. they sent 10 questions asking for information, statements and breakdowns from our management company fees. Our solicitor provided all that information back in October but their response was ‘it’s not our job to read all documents, we just need our questions answered’. I was thoroughly angry at that comment!

Second, they sent now on 4 occasions the same two questions. One asking to get written confirmation from our builder (back in 2011) about the deed of covenants. We told them, our solicitor told them, the estate agents told them it wasn’t required. PPL insisted and wouldn’t budge without it. We finally spoke to the builder who confirmed what we’d all been saying for months. PPL are useless!

Third, we have an estate rent charge and PPL are demanding a deed of variation. We’ve offered them an indemnity which all lenders accept, PPL are refusing to accept it. We told them to speak to the lender and ask for confirmation that they won’t take it. PPL lied to us about asking them. I know this for a fact, as we spoke to them on the phone on Monday, they then sent a LETTER back which was dated on the Monday. Considering they post everything, there is no way they spoke to the lender.

We asked our buyer to speak to his broker, who spoke to the bank who confirmed that an indemnity WAS acceptable. PPL are refusing to accept it. We are now forced to start a deed or variation which will takes weeks of delay, or chain in now near collapse, I’m trying everything I can to keep it together.

So say I’m angry at PPL is a understatement. They are the very worst. I literally can not think of anything more painful than dealing with PPL!

Couldn't recommend more highly. We used Premier Property Lawyers for a re-mortgage and have never had such a hassle-free re-mortgage experience. No unnecessary steps or delays and the online portal is fantastic for keeping you updated on progress and when you have an action to complete. We had funds due to us upon completion, which were received the same day (early in the morning too). They were very competitive on cost too! Will definitely use in future.

I can only repeat the many, many other negative reviews of this company. A very simple cash purchase with no onward chains is now heading into a fifth month without any end in sight. PPL take no responsibility and instead just drag things on and on interminably through lack of communication, lack of urgency and general incompetence. Further costs are continually added - now over £1000 more than the original quote.

Do not use this company at any costs.

Agents/Purplebricks etc please review your partnerships and stop recommending this company as their terrible service reflects badly on the entire house-buying process.

We are using PPL to sell our house and purchase. The purchase has now been a nightmare, we were expecting to move in October, and it is now nearly December. The same enquiries have been going back and forth between them and the vendors solicitors since September. PPL hardly ever contact us, we are forever chasing, and at one stage got told, by our PPL representative, to leave them alone so she could get on with her job. We keep getting told it is down as of the utmost urgency, But cannot seem to see where the urgency has been taken seriously. This has been and is still, one of the most stressful experiences I have ever dealt with, and this is largely down to PPL. Would not recommend to anyone!

Service was very good - was kept informed along the way. Portal is great as it allows me to see updates at any point.
Rizwan was professional and addressed all queries along the way. Also kept in regular contact.
I found that we tackled many things directly over the phone to minimise delays. If Rizwan wasn’t available then the staff had enough knowledge on my case to beable to keep me informed. No idea how price compares as I just went with my estate agent recommendation . This also meant that my agent had an interest in progress and would also be in touch with PPL.
I was the seller and sale concluded this month.

An appalling service from PPL. Unfortunately my experience matches so many others on this site. Communication was dreadful, unreliable and rude. The conveyancer did not turn up to pre-arranged telephone appts and did not respond to my emails other than with defensiveness. Initially they did ask good questions of the vendor's solicitors but these were not followed up and the responses not given to me. They would tell me they had uploaded documents to the portal but these did not appear. In the end I pulled out of the sales process and didn't even receive a response to my email, I was simply denied access to the portal. It is a cheap company but I only spent £400 more to receive a much better service from Countrywide Conveyancing. Please pay the extra and go to them instead!

This company were engaged in July to arrange the sale of our property which we were advised would take up to 12 weeks . As we begin week 18, the completion date remains unknown.
Throughout this period I have found communications with Premier to be difficult and devoid of meaningful information as I find myself speaking to a different person each time. The senior conveyancer is never available to give a realistic appraisal, and I can never be certain just where the sale process stands. Keeping their clients fully informed is unfortunately not a high priority with this company, and I could not recommend their woeful service.

OMG please please please stay clear of these horrific lot.
It is almost a year from my completion date. These so called convayancers did not register my boundaries correctly with the land registry, sent me no paperworkk till august this year. I had an email from Sarah Evans conveyancer in Feb 20 asking me to confirm my boundaries she did nothing. In my complaint response they noted she was trying to seek help within the firm but then forgot to get it. Human error and all my fault because they are online conveyancers and I should be checking. What the hell are they charging for.
Have now escalated to the legal ombudsman. Idea being it allows me to build a case for court after the ombudsman who more often than not do very little

Honestly, do yourself a favour, all these bad reviews are true. Good luck trying to speak to the same person twice, there is no direct email nor phone number for your conveyancer. Doesn't that say it all?

When you do get through you get fed lies that you then have to go away and disprove: about what they are waiting on, about information they've (supposedly) received, documents they are missing. When it clearly isn't the case, they are buying time since there's no one actually working on your case. Greedy, taking on far too many cases that they can't fulfil.

It's a bit like speaking to a bot on live chat, in the sense that any question you ask gets a pre scripted response, that answers a completely different question to the one you asked.

Oh and the added bonus is the price, you'll get a wonderful surprise with that one, if this firm didn't push you close enough to the cliff edge already.

Do not go near thIs company. In a small chain, instructed in July and only just completing. Delay, delay delay are their tactics. Completed this morning after months of chasing. Still no sign of funds in my bank. Called and they said "if you do not receive the funds today give us a call on monday"!!!! ITS MY MONEY!! Do not touch them even if Purple Bricks recommend. Keep well away.

I have found this firm to be very unprofessional. Our buyers are using them to purchase our property and I can only say that they have caused untold stress and delays that are now causing the sale to be put in jeopardy. Their service level for their clients is non existent. They do not get back to them and after 14 weeks of conveyancing for the past six days our buyer does not know what position his purchase is in and for the past six working days he has been told that the file is with a senior conveyancer for sign off which makes you wonder who has been dealing with it for the past 12 weeks? There is absolutely no chain and should be a simple process. Unless you have a simple house purchase of a freehold property this company does not have the expertise to deal with anything that has more complexity with regards to a purchase. We have now got to the point after thinking for the past three weeks that we are ready to exchange that the file is still to be signed off with absolutely no regard for a time frame or any further information of when if at all this is going to be done. I have never ever experienced such an awful company and between oursleves and our purchaser we really are both at our wits end with understanding how and why a company in such a profession can treat their clients this way. Please if you are considering or have been recommended this firm, please read all reviews from other sites too. You should really beaware that they totally disregard their clients needs and make the whole process so difficult that it now looks like our sale after 3 months looks like it will fall through, totally down to this firm and their lack of knowledge and service.

A terrible service for a straightforward sale with no chain and a cash buyer. Two months in and still no contracts issued. I keep being asked for further documentation that could have been requested at the outset. It is costing a fortune in registered post costs and I really can't see the point of the on-line dashboard and uploading facility if you still need to send in the originals. Was directed here through PurpleBricks. My advice is, pay upfront for PurpleBricks and find your own local solicitor. My advice to PurpleBricks; find another company because this one is damaging your business.

This company is currently holding up a chain which is ready to complete and has been for several weeks. They do not care about theor clients.
No idea how they are award winning unless it was an award for the worst conveyancer.....

Absolutely disgraceful. I don't even know where to start but this firm should be avoided at all costs!!!. They are incompetent, unprofessional and non-contactable. It has made the sale and purchase a complete nightmare and really stressful process from end to end. They messed up our exchange and completion on both our sale and purchase and there were weeks of delays to exchange. We didnt get our money once we completed on our sale and 4 months down the line they failed to meet our completion date. We sat there waiting for a call on completion day and heard nothing and then it turned out there was an issue. They blamed everyone else but themselves and as a result we ended up being homeless and taken in by family. A really upsetting end to what should have been an exciting house move. We still haven't completed because they filled in a form wrong.

The service was appalling, rubbish communication, so pathetically slow it cost me a small fortune in their continuous delays. Then they completed without receiving the full monies and didn't even know. Mind blowing incompetence. AVOID and use your local conveyance firm.

Firstly, this bunch need basic training in customer service. They are neither proactive or reactive, they just take ages to answer queries, ignore your requests/instructions and have made our sale a very stressful process. To say we are disappointed is an understatement. Three months into a straightforward sale and we are still chasing for an exchange, whilst our buyers are repeatedly asking to exchange!
If you have to pay a little bit more for a genuine solicitor, do it for the sake of your sanity.

Imagine spending an absolute fortune going to universities and be absolute useless because it’s what they are in this company.

They take forever to do anything and when you think that is almost over, well there is always something else wrong.

I just hoped people with google the company before requesting their services because if they did, well they would be shut by now.

STATE AGENTS STOP RECOMMENDING PPL

Ps: my English ain’t great but I bet you that I could do a better job at being a solicitor than PPL.

This service should me a -5 gutted to even have to click 1 star as it’s far away from it
To be honest I don’t actually know where to start, the service which started in March has been nothing but an absolute joke, fed lie after lie, to be asked for more money to move things forward to be now in October and still no completion.
The attitude of the solicitors is disgusting, they don’t rush doing anything I have had to email them constantly to chase things getting done, due to covid was there excuse most of the time hence why everything was meant to be done via email but the changed and wanted post.

Service has been shocking from the start I would NOT recommend these to anyone wanting to buy or sell a house they have taken the joy of buying our forever home away from us through stress of them sat at home doing nothing...

Charged around £180 for a remortgage, not bad you are probably thinking. I would say so too if they actually provided anything close to a good service. Worst 'lawyers' I have ever come across, if you have the choice, do not use. It took 3 months to complete a remortgage and there managing of what documents were needed, ID, etc, was laughable at best. Avoid.

Used them for a purchase - no problems at all, couldn't fault.

However, to cut a very long story short - we sold our house at the start of June 2020 and made the mistake of using PPL as recommended by Purple Bricks. It's now mid-September and they are still unable to tell us when a likely completion date is with our would be buyers. I could easily write chapter and verse about lack of communication, slow response times, the vague-ness of any reply you do receive, your designated conveyancer never being at the end of the phone... pretty much echoing every other 1star review on this site. The 1 star I have given is purely to recognise the work done for our purchase. The coverage of our sale has been appalling.

Genuinely, this isn't a moan for the sake of it. If you're reading this and contemplating using PPL, do yourself a favour and find someone else. Please.

I was unlucky enough to reach out to Premier Property Lawyers for the purchase of new home. It was nothing sort of a nightmare from the very start to the very end. This review could quite lengthy but in order not to waste any further time on this conveyancing firm, here is what went wrong:

1. They didn't keep me informed on key communication that took place between themselves and the vendor;
2. They inadequately explained the meaning of a number of documents provided by the vendor e.g. indemnity insurance, guarantees and a few more.
3. With the exception of 2 times, I was unable to speak to my conveyancer to ask few simple questions regarding some of the documents received.
4. The online platform that they have to upload documents doesnt actually work and when I asked why I couldnt see certain documents they didnt have an explanation for it.
5. They took nearly 5 months to complete the whole process. [Note: There were no complications through the process whatsoever.]

Concluding, I would never recommend these conveyancers to anyone - not even as a measure of last resort.

I used Premier Property Lawyers for a simple reportage of a property I already owned outright and it took over ten weeks to be completed.

On the plus side they have a good online system for uploading documents and keeping track of progress, however that is really the only positive and I think they rely on this system too much.

I tried to contact my conveyancer directly multiple times and not once was she available, in fact I only spoke to my actual conveyancer once throughout the whole process.

They waited for eight weeks to request documents which took over a week to find and this could have been done at the start to avoid the delay.

We had and issue with the freeholder trying to charge a fee of £300 which wasn’t applicable as there was a specific clause in the lease terms and conditions but the staff at Premier Properties tried to tell me that it was valid and I would have to pay it. It was only when I made a formal complaint that they acknowledged that the fee wasn’t valid and I shouldn’t have to pay it which I didn’t. So if I hadn’t read my lease and complained I would have been charged and extra £300. They were aware of the clause in the terms but didn’t highlight it to me.

Additional transfer fees were added to my account incorrectly so again I challenged them and was told they would be removed. Two weeks later they hadn’t been removed so I again challenged them and was initially told they were correct but they weren’t.

I definitely wouldn’t recommend Premier Property Lawyers and I certainly wouldn’t use them again.

What an absolute shambles! Zero contact after about a month into the Conveyancing process. Our buyers are using Premier Property Lawyers as well (I assumed we had to use them because the sale was with Purple Bricks). So far the process has taken 14 weeks, nobody calls us for an update, they don't respond to emails, and when they are out of office nobody seems to pick things up in their absence! I have never had a company so shambolic in my entire life. Pay a bit more money and go with a decent company! Don't do it to yourself, you don't need more stress when you are moving house.

The service my daughter has received for nearly 2 years now whilst trying to sell her house is dreadful, these folks have really bad reviews on most sights.
I really do not think they give or take any care at what they do or who they hurt , my daughter is now looking at their buyers pulling out and she has no chain , men have been to the moon and back it that span of time , as others have said on here , they are rude , never answer the phone or report back any news that your waiting for . And i suppose they want their cash at the end of it all if they actually sell or buy your house for you.They really should be ashamed of themselves.there are enough folks wanting justice for all the stress .Should we all club together report them to the Law society and get them in court, we may finally get them to close and stop more misery for more people.
My daughter and her husband ,like so many of you are going round the twist with this firm, panic attacks , loss of apitite , stress. and more.
So do your selves a favour and stay well clear, take no notice of good reviews the bad do really out number the good.you have been warned.
This firm needs investigating quickly before they do any more damage to peoples health.

Appalling service, rude, inefficient & riddled with basic errors. Cost us thousands of pounds as they didn’t communicate key facts & failed to proactively manage the case at all. “Lawyer” dealing with the case was so rude every time we spoke to her (Courtney Fife) we were shocked. Nobody seemed to care about our concerns & managers also didn’t call back as promised. They made multiple mistakes through the process & added unnecessary delay to this straightforward transaction by their ineptitude. Also kept amending their costs in their favour with no explanation at all. Avoid using premier property lawyers from my home conveyancing as the service they provide is likely to cause nothing but stress. Shockingly awful

Appalling service. Other party was due to exchange early last week when PPL realised they hadn’t done their client identity checks. They then requested the info they should have asked for at the start of the transaction which was sent to them 6 days ago. Everyone is still waiting for them. Please, anyone reading this, pass on this and do not ever recommend that people use them

Firstly PPL lost our file and tried to blame the developers, saying they never received it. The developers provided evidence they did send our file and now PPL’s story has changed - they apparently did receive the file but something was missing. This delayed our purchase by 5 months. Not sure why they never responded to the developer to ask for the missing information in that time. No apology and they still won’t accept blame. We’re still waiting to move in now.. We’ve had no guidance on what to expect/what’s outstanding and it just seems to be one delay after another. However PPL always pass the blame to someone else, it’s never their fault and they’ve not apologised or expressed empathy once. We’ve been told now that we need to resign all of our paperwork however it has been 4 days since they informed us of this and they still haven’t posted the paperwork to us. We tried to complain but all we got was a rude email in response and refusal to accept any responsibility. Avoid this company at all costs.

These 'lawyers' / 'solicitors' probably need to change industry or go back to university and read up on their chosen field. Any questions they have asked have been redundant to the purchasing of the leasehold. These questions have been repeated so many times the sellers solicitors have had to question whether they understand what they are dealing with which you'd assume to be embarrassing for them. When they do have all information they require I still don't think they actually understand what to do with it though and become completely unresponsive while 'it's under review' for the next week. Would avoid at all costs and it's a shame to have ever used the company.

If you value your sanity, AVOID.
It would be easier & probably quicker to do a night class in conveyancing & do it yourself.
They constantly blame other parties, if its not the buyer, its the seller, or the bank.
Anthony Stephenson was inexperienced & it showed. After 5 months & many, many complaints, they internally replaced him.
I have found Matthew Forrester to be very rude, unprofessional & extremely unhelpful. He has no concept I'm a paying customer.
I have the simplest chain of all time, I'm now looking at a 6 month time frame, which is wholly unacceptable in anyone's eyes.

We found out the first moving date had fell through at 1:30pm the day before. They just didn't feel the need to let me know any sooner.
2 weeks spent living out of bags & boxes later & here we are again on a Thursday pleading desperately if we are moving tomorrow or not???

AVOID at all costs.

Avoid this company like the plague. The business is so disorganised and they seem to not care one bit that this is the most stressful thing a person can do in their lifetime.
ALWAYS CHECK YOUR FINANCIAL STATEMENT - mine was incorrect FOUR times having requested to have it corrected and then receiving exactly the same statement back. I am still outstanding funds that have highlighted to them in the past need changing, but am yet to receive a response from Sabina Mohammed who I was dealing with.

We initially instructed Premier Property Lawyers on the sale of our purchase back in October and were allocated Rob Whittle. Whilst acting on our behalf Rob didn't seem to know the answers to - or be prepared to research - some of the questions that we raised to him, he came across as very passive throughout our dealings and we ended up having to find out and research a lot of things ourselves that we would have expected to fall within his role.

One of the main issues that we faced was the need for indemnity insurance for an extension on the property we were selling. Rob was extremely unhelpful and even when presented with a quote from a company that were happy to provide cover, didn't pass information of this cover on to our buyer. After a painful few weeks getting nowhere with Rob, we contacted our buyer ourselves who appeared to be equally annoyed with the lack of communication from our solicitor. We were informed that her solicitor had made several requests for information/documents from Rob, many of which had gone unanswered.

With our Buyer pulling out due to information not being provided, we only found out a week later when we contacted our buyer directly. Rob at no point passed this information on to us.

With a new buyer found for our property and a new solicitor; Josh, handling the case, he was then furloughed. Whilst we completely understand the difficulties that COVID 19 has placed on businesses, when Josh was furloughed with our sale/purchase so close to completion, there was again no communication to advise that he had been furloughed and no other advisor taking ownership of our file.

We were having to make contact daily to find out what was happening with the case and what was needed from us. Every time I called there had been an update and at no point were these being passed on without us being the ones to make contact and ask for it. Again, we were having to be in direct contact with the buyer ourselves in order to know what was happening with the sale of our property.Seemingly, you were not making contact on the side of our purchase either as we were having constant messages from our seller asking us for updates.

Given how much we paid them to handle the cases, it seems absolutely ridiculous how much of the communication we had to do for ourselves.

With the exception of Josh, communication from the team has been absolutely unacceptable throughout our sale and purchase - contributing to us not only losing our first buyer but also almost losing the house we were buying and now being £2000 out of pocket for funds not returned to us.

After raising a complaint, we did get £250 compensation but it definitely doesn't make up for the 8 months of headaches caused by the company.

Suffice it to say avoid them like the plague. Part of a huge group. They do everything at a snail's pace and charge a fortune for it. One excuse for not exchanging at 3pm in the afternoon was 'Sorry we have a couple of bank statements still to check so will have to wait until tomorrow.' If you want good ciommunication and efficiency, go elsewhere.

Not even worth that one star. Got fed up with being lied to and fobbed off! Totally incompetent from start to finish. They told us 4 times we were to exchange contracts only to find they had not got everything in place. Kept asking us for more forms to be signed and more info. Oh and once they lost an important document - it had been put in the wrong place, and then they kept asking me for documents they already had. Each time this added at least another week on proceeding. Bank statements are required within a 3 month date range. Well guess what! They took so long we had to send new ones! Once we had completed,we had to wait 5 days for our money!!!!!!! If you do use these, keep phoning them and ask them to e mail you details of your conversation. Get everything in writing. You will know when they lie as the email does not arrive. Then you ring again! Avoid at all costs!

My sale has been stuck in its current situation for nearly two months. When I have asked why things are not proceeding, the response I have received is that the estate agents and the sellers solicitor has not responded to emails about the draft contracts. On eWay, I have seen that correspondence has been exchanged by the estate agent and my solicitor, making this claim false with regards to the estate agent.

My conveyancer, at no point, has indicated that she has attempted to communicate with the seller's solicitor via phone or email (no exchange of email is shown on eWay), leading to me having to get in touch with the seller directly to see what the situation is. The seller (who is also using the same firm) has informed me that she has uploaded all required documents, but says that her solicitor is yet to receive a sales memorandum.

I explained this to my conveyancer and her team via email, but no action was taken. This issue, in fact, has not even been acknowledged to date. This led to me having to contact the estate agent myself who confirmed that the seller's solicitor had received the memorandum. I then sent two emails requesting that my conveyancer get in touch with the seller's solicitor as a matter of urgency. These emails were acknowledged through eWay but went ignored.

This situation has caused significant delay to the conveyancing process in addition to myself and the seller having to chase different parties, which we pay our conveyancers to do. In addition to this, the seller has completed the purchase of a property (bought after selling this property) which could be put at risk the longer these delays go on.

Do not go near these solicitors is my advice. They have taken 6 months to do the conveyancing of the sale of my daughters house which my solicitor did in 6 weeks when she bought it. They are totally useless, asking numerous questions which 3 other solicitors say are irrelevant. They have caused nothing but emotional and financial stress

AVOID you will never speak to the same person twice, that's if they even bother to reply. 3 days to read an email meaning a simple exchange of information takes over 2 weeks. That's under normal circumstances, Corona has had them increase to 8 days. So if your buyer/sellers solicitor emails them it won't even get looked at for 8 days, then if there's an issue and they reply the same day 8 more before they even read the response leading to long delays. Joke of a company.

There is nothing premier about these clowns. Avoid if you can.
They acted on behalf of our buyer in the sale of our flat and took their time over everything. Not to be meticulous of clear, but it seemed to deliberately slow down the process so they could justify their charges to our buyer (their client). Our solicitor would send emails, and they would reply by post! They took longer than needed over replies which led to around 14 days delay in the sale going through.
I suspect the complexities of shared ownership were difficult for them, so if you have anything other than s straight sale or purchase I'd avoid and look elsewhere. Your local high street solicitor will do a better job and be more personal with it.

They really are an awful solicitor. Incredibly slow, impossible to get hold of, always promise to return phone calls which they don't, they just cause unnecessary strain and stress on an already stressful situation such as moving. To top off the poor service, they've kept hold of our money which was due back to us after completion, waiting nearly 2 months and again the same treatment of unreturned calls/ e-mails etc. They're also trying to silence bad reviews on other sites by reporting them so they're taken offline, I'm so sick and tired of having the deal with this company and their utter incompetence.

Service was good until property completed. Towards the end they sent a notice to HMRC saying we should pay 350k in stamp tax instead of 7.5k. We received bill for 350k. I told lawyer and he said he would send a letter to correct it. According to HMRC, this letter had a, different address on it. HMRC writes to lawyer for clarification. Clarification never comes. So we get another bill for 7.5k although we obviously paid this on completion. We much distressed, contact the lawyers several times (during corona crisis admittedly) but their responses are brief and thry basically say accounts cant provide proof we paid because it was such a long time ago (2017). In the end we go to HMRC directly who tell me this sorry tale. I woukd love to hear PPLs side to thr story but they habe not responded. Best conclusion i can make to date is thay the thought of a former client receiving unjust bill for 7.5k due to their error does not concern them enough to generate a professional response.

No updates what so ever
Useless only thing they can remember to send me is the financial draft at this stage over and over again
Don’t do it keep away you never get a moving date , house simple and purple bricks use them don’t use them keep away from all of them shocking service

I was using PPL for the purchase of a property - recommended by the estate agents (Connells) as 'their' conveyancers, so using them would smooth the process - how wrong they were.
I have been involved in the sale/purchase of 3 properties and I (and friends/colleagues I have talked to) have never experienced such an appalling service. Communication was terrible with most emails not being answered until the 2nd or 3rd attempt or usually after a phone call. Communication via their "Case Dashboard" was uninformative - frequently a notification received that there were 'new actions' required, when it was a previous document being uploaded again with no changes - eg the same, unchanged plan for my property was uploaded 4 times. There was never confirmation of actions taken (eg I had to ask many times if they had received/accepted proof of ID or proof of funds - the answer often being 'it appears not' - meaning it had to re-done - how I would have know these things other than at the 11th hour - presumably meaning a rush - I don't know.) I was moved between 3 different conveyancers who never introduced themselves or confirmed they were now my main point of contact. Documents were lost - over a 3-4 month period 5 important signed documents (eg the contract twice) were lost and had to be printed, signed and resent. Buying/selling a house is never straightforward - but with PPL I felt that the process took 50% longer than it would normally, not to mention the many hours I had to put into making the sale go through that I had never experienced before - it's stressful enough without having to chase YOUR solicitor at every step! Most definitely not recommended.

Absoultely hopeless, communication is appauling and incredibly slow at doing anything!
Went with them as they were reccomended by from London & Country. As it was a simple remortage with equity loan I figured there wasn't much to go wrong, however until questioned they started the complete wrong process in remortaging my house which would have left me with a 40k bill at the end. On top of that In nearly 3 months we made 0 progress.

Dropped them and went with a local solicitor in the end and had a far better experience!

Great company - I would advise anyone unsure of this company to check Trustpilot, as it seems alot of people have had different experiences. Daniel Kirui was always pleasant, helpful and informative. If I couldn't speak to anyone on the phone, my email was always responded to and having access to the eWay account online kept me up to date with what was happening. I would definitely recommend this company & would use again in future.

I was involved in a 4 house 5 party chain. The party selling house 2 and buying house 3 used Premier Property Lawyers as they were recommended to them by the agent that sold their home.

The early stages of the move seemed to be going to plan and my solicitor was advised the lower chain was just waiting on us. Premier Property Lawyers then began asking for things that weren’t required. This stalled things by about 2 months. Premier Property Lawyers then confirmed they were happy with all enquiries and put forward suggested exchange and completion dates. This is when the real glitch was highlighted.

Premier Property Lawyers had been quite a nightmare for my solicitor certain items being sent to them on 7 occasions. As we approached our exchange/completion dates it became apparent that Premier Property Lawyers hadn’t began dealing with the sale of their client’s house, this information was let out by the managing agent on a leasehold managed estate that confirmed that Premier Property Lawyers didn’t contact them regarding the sale enquiries until 4 months after the other solicitors in the chain. This caused the chain to collapse.

This company is recommended to customers of a number of online estate agents. Advice to anyone selling would be to avoid selling to anyone who will be using these. The whole set-up is just a giant Conveyancing factory and the experience I’ve had, although they weren’t acting on my behalf is that the practice they use should be outlawed as it quite simply doesn’t work.

Took 9 months to complete on a newish property that was empty ...how difficult can that be?? Promised a quick completion and put my stuff in storage and moved in with a friend when I was advised same day exchange & completion was imminent...big mistake! PPL suddenly stopped communicating and didn’t provide final documentation at last minute. There was a small (straight forward) issue which should have been picked up at the outset, and for months they refused to answer calls from seller and their agents as well as my solicitors. Couldn’t escalate to higher authority; I threatened to pull out more than once - but nothing worked - very frustrating and unprofessional. My solicitors finally talked them through what they needed to do in the end - obvious lack of knowledge and experience. I reluctantly held out as prices had meanwhile gone up and I had already paid all my legal fees. It also cost me a lot of money for temporary accommodation for 7 months and storage costs and seller obviously was out of pocket having to keep covering bills, mortgage etc while these so called 'lawyers' dragged their feet. I'm amazed looking at the poor feedback on various forums that they are still operating. Would never buy a property again if the seller uses PPL and would certainly not recommend them. My advice - read the reviews and feedback and spend a little more on professional solicitors/conveyancers.
