I instructed Davisons in Cotteridge to act on my behalf for the sale of my late father's property.
I had had other quotes and Davisons' fees were similar and because of the close location to my home address I choose them, mainly due to how helpful Katie was in my first contact with the company.
Gemma Colgan was helpful and professional throughout the process and I knew she was acting on my behalf when the estate agents were pressuring me in the lead up to completion.
I wouldn't hesitate to use Davisons in any future house purchase/sales.

We completed our Wills with Gemma, and found her to be a very professional yet sympathetic and supportive.

Gemma was very easy to talk to, and she really helped us by listening carefully to our personal situation, which was not completely straightforward ‘mirror’ Wills.

We didn’t feel rushed, and she gave us time to consider our options.

I would recommend Gemma to any of my friends and family members.

We have been dealing with Gemma Colgan more recently on our Wills and POAs and her service has been absolutely excellent. However, with regards to our sale and purchase, we dealt with various people, Gemma Welch, Sally Hobday, Ruth Thong, Charlotte Severn, and maybe some others. Can I just say that all of them were excellent. It was a long drawn out business and I felt they were all there for us 100%. We were kept up to date all through the process.
We were given your details by Bloor Homes as we reserved our new home in December 2022. Right from the start the service from Davisons Law has been excellent. Always dealing very promptly with emails and calls. The sale and purchase were an absolute nightmare due to one of our buyers backing out twice, late in the process but I felt that your company really helped us navigate a very, very stressful situation. Davisons were handling our sale and purchase so it was good to know that it was being dealt with together. Despite it being very stressful, we made it through and managed, somehow, to still get the house we always wanted. We have been here just over 13 months and couldn't be happier in our new home. Thank you to everyone.

Communication between myself and Zouhra was timely, clear and efficient. All of my concerns relating to the purchase were dealt with and resolved.
I was able to have one to one time at the office without a prearranged appointment.
All support staff at the office were supportive and professional.

At the same time as purchasing this property, Tracy Salt, also at the Cotteridge office was acting in the sale of my father's property. Between them, they managed to time the sale and purchase perfectly to avoid me borrowing funds for the purchase.

The perfect team that I would recommend to anyone buying or selling a property.

Our journey with Davisons, especially with our solicitor Zouhra Sharif, has been impeccable. We were buying our first home and there were several chains involved, many last minute issues were coming up, especially at the very last minute and Zouhra always prioritised our case due to our mortgage being about to expire, so we could make our dreams come true and move to our new home. She managed all these unnexpected events in the best manner, keeping communications flowing and giving us the reassurance that she would do her best to make the purchase happen, and in the end she did! We are now happily living in our new home. Thank you for everything and we will definitelly recommend Davisons to our friends and family!

The response to information supplied was dealt with promptly and documents sent to be checked also returned in a decent time scale.
The only issue I had was that the initial address given to send information to,was not to the office where our solicitor was based, once this was acknowledged and had the correct address it was fine.
Overall I received a very good service.

Nesheela was great from start to finish as were the other members of staff in the office. I can’t thank them enough for everything they have done for me. Maria is superb, we used Davisons Law because that’s where Maria was - I actually found where she had moved to as she was the only solicitor I wanted to deal with the sale of our home. I am highly delighted in the service that I received from Davisons Law.
I needed a LPA doing and had tried doing it online. I contacted Davisons Law office in Cotteridge. I met with Gemma Colgan, who was to handle my case.
Everything was explained to me in simple language and I decided to go ahead with the process. The staff were very knowledgeable and kept me informed about everything. The whole process took about 20-24 weeks due to registering with and waiting the appropriate amount of time.
I would highly recommend the services of Davisons Law to anyone who needs professional advice and assistance.

Our sale was not straight forward with flying freeholds, leasehold and absent freehold to name a few obstacles but Nisha, Kirsty and their team stayed the course and got it completed in time for Christmas. Nisha also queried an early repayment charge by our lender which led to its removal saving me £1000's

We received a very professional and understanding service from Nisha Kainth. She was able to undertake 2 properties that originally began with a different solicitors firm. When this chain was aborted, due to the other firms delays, she was able to begin another purchase, deal with the original sale and exchange and complete the new purchase in under 4 weeks. This level of professionalism should be a marker for other conveyancers. My family and I have purchased many properties and even when purchasing with cash we have completed between 6 and 8 weeks. Because of our experience we will be highly recommending your firm and especially Nisha Kainth. It was a pleasure working with Her.

Without wanting to write an essay... GDPR breaches, penalty charges from HMRC over 2 months after completion due to their incompetence , rarely returned calls/emails etc. (all of which can be backed up with factual evidence)

Wouldn't use them ever again for anything, and will steer friends and family away as best I can.

Two solicitors acted for me and my family - Tracey Salt dealt with my late son’s estate and Gemma Lloyd dealt with this ale of my house, my daughter’s house and the purchase of our new house!!!
The Letters old Administration were obtained by Tracey with minimal fuss and it couldn’t have been easier for me, despite the distressing circumstances!!!
The house sales and purchase were another matter entirely - due to no fault of Gemma, the other parties solicitors made the process far more difficult than it need have been and Gemma and her colleagues went above and beyond, to bring it to a successful conclusion, despite all the apparent obstacles that appeared as the process went on and on!!!
All the staff involved worked tirelessly on our behalf and I’d recommend their services to anybody!!

Service was brilliant and we were incredibly grateful that the purchase completed in line with the end of our tenancy as requested.
The only tiny criticism we might have is the frequency/level of detail of the updates - the track a matter portal didn't really update that much during the process, and we did have to chase for progress updates a couple of times (probably just being first time buyers and being a bit clueless/anxious).
I want to stress that is a tiny criticism though and we are 99.99999% happy with the service we received, so thank you!

Lasting power of attorney.
Tracey gave good advice and was very approachable.
Parts of our form were mislayed which resulted in delays.
When we came to collect the lasting power of attorneys one person wasn't allowed to collect them both, despite only one letter being sent to us. This created quite a waste of time for us as we had moved to a property a fairly long way away

Although Gavin was the lawyer, it was Sarah Coldicott who got us over the line in what turned out to be a slightly fraught and protracted process, and it was the actions of Sarah, Louise and Chloe (with help from others in the office there) that gave it the final push required. This was despite various hurdles put in our way by parties and elements outside of our/Davisons' control, mostly down to our seller's estate agents and solicitors and a complex and badly-handled overage agreement on their purchase. Really appreciate all your hard work and friendly service, which was invaluable in those last few weeks; you definitely earned your money, and I don't think I've said that about many conveyancers in the past! Thanks again

Charlotte and Hannah was perfect from start to finish, got all of our work completed for our new build property in no time and also when above and beyond by printing all the documentation for us to sign. The team always got back to my calls or emails in a swift manner and was always so polite when contacting me. Thank you so much for all of your hard work!

Fantastic service from start to finish, always got the work done in a very efficient manner just ended up always waiting on other solicitors to do there work! Fearn and her team (Jamie and Eliza) made the house moving process so easy and always replied to any queries or questions we had very quickly and professionally.

Dealing with Rhianne was a breath of fresh air. I have moved house several times and this was the best experience I have had.
She is warm and very efficient She is a credit to Davisons. Next time I move in the future I would like Rhianne to deal with me.

Milli was fantastic, very responsive and extremely supportive. She played a critical role in moving things along and making the whole process as smooth as possible. She always explained everything very patiently and made an effort to follow up pro actively with the vendor's solicitors. A big thank you to her and the team. Fay assisted us to handle the whole process of purchasing property in a professional manner. From collecting all necessary documents, handling enquires to exchange contracts and complete the matters, she kept everything on tracks and records, kept updating us the status of the process and made clarification to us if something we were not clear. We went through a process of remortgaging - ie taking out a mortgage on 2 properties in order to pay off a bridging loan. My broker referred me to Davisons Law, and Rebecca (Becky) Bradshaw took on the case. She has been responsive and very efficient, as have her assistants, answering queries speedily and in layman's terms which was extremely helpful. It has been a pleasure dealing with her.

Becky & Jo were a huge help throughout the process of our property sale. There were challenges at certain periods, from the Land Registry, which delayed the completion, but we were kept informed throughout and always responded to emails in a very timely manner.

Jeanette was an excellent contact from the start of the sale of my house which began to become extremely difficult and frustrating towards the completion

Having used a conveyance company recommended by the estate agents when we purchased our property 17 years ago, we really were impressed by the level of service and speed of response by Jo, Becky and Zainab. By using a solicitor in a local office it made it much easier and efficient to take paperwork in and get verified/copied.

Our move was made all the more stressful by the buyer at the bottom of the chain not instigating legal services quickly enough hence the time taken to move, however this was not a reflection on Jo's service. She really did go above and beyond to get us in, and moving day because of her organisation was a dream, completed on both properties by 1pm!

The service we had dealing with Fearn was excellent, Fearn kept us update d at every stage of the process of selling our Flat.
Fearn made each stage very easy to understand and chased / pushed for all information when needed from 3rd party companies.
to keep the sale moving forward.
