I have always dreaded the solicitor experience for purchasing a property as most of my colleagues who purchased before me used to complain bitterly about their solicitors. Therefore I came into the process with no expectations at all.

However, when I got a call from Dan Preston he was the conveyancer for my property I was looking forward to do all the work like my colleagues used to say. Dan blew my mind away with .

He was constantly on the phone or emailing me with any updates if he couldn't get hold of me. When I have spotted an error, he will swiftly correct and return.
He was very professional at all times and I couldn't have been more happier with the services Dan has provided me.

Terrible service avoid at all costs! There not bothered and will leave the file on dictation for weeks without doing anything, extremely hrd to get hold of and rude on the phone. Watch out will charge you for portals that they don’t update also

7 Months, unclear, overcharged and lied to.

What was supposed to be a happy time of buying our first property became a nightmare because of Davisons and their larger mother company Countrywide. Jane and Gemma as solicitors are awful and uncontactable, only real contact we had was with Charlotte their assistant. The process took nearly 7 months for a NO CHAIN sale, and my partner works in a mortgage firm so everything was done on our side within the first week. Days and days of emailing them chasing, we missed one completion date as our solicitor (Gemma) was on holiday and didn’t tell us, only to find out they hadn’t even requested our LISA’s from a locum solicitor covering on the day. They lied to us multiple times, missed two completion dates and we were eventually contacted by the seller saying they would pull out if we didn’t complete (on our third try) which luckily we did. I felt like I was having to micro manage the whole process, it felt like consistent work and was such an uphill struggle. We had unclear charges added to our bill and we had to push back, some were removed but others we had generic replies and no clear explanation. They spent our money without telling us, on charges we didn’t know about (if they were even real) as we haven’t been provided with receipts or invoices for even simple things such as ground rent. Please stay away, we’ve been lucky enough that my partner works in property, and I have the time to email 10 times a day to get things sorted, but I really don’t want anyone else to go through what we have had to. It really has affected us and how we’ve felt about moving property, the whole process has been awful.

I don't know where to start, buying a flat or a house is a long and very thorough process. Demanding patience and determination. But with people who can cooperate, the whole process is fast, moving forward with the process of progress and striving to achieve the goal, and picking up the keys to my dream home or the next, I used this attorney agency which was recommended to me by my real estate agency this person led my trial to the end it is attorney Brunilda Gjonbalaj , I am very grateful to her for perseverance and cooperation with me was a long road but successful. I’m a first time buyer and my solicitor was Brunilda and she made the process feel very simple . There were lots of hurdles in my conveyancing process as I was buying a property which was lease hold , but at the end of the day I always had Brunilda to keep me in the loop and I kept getting all my updates from her right on time and advised me what to be done and when etc.. Elishia and her assistant Harpreet could not have been more helpful to us in our transaction to buy a home recently. We live overseas currently and everything they could do to make this happen on time and efficiently was done. When we had a major issue with our bank who would not release our funds to complete without a fax request (and the bank office was in disarray) Elishia kept in touch with us out of hours, via her own personal phone, to ensure we were kept calm and in the picture. Faxes are not commonly in use overseas these days and that was a major obstacle which she just fixed for us. We were so happy that Orbit Housing who were the builders have a relationship with Davison's because it made a stressful situation a great deal easier for us. I will refer again and again when the opportunity arises.

I was very pleased with the service. We initially were kept up to date with the progress of our applications by Sharan. Sharan was absolutely fantastic in communicating any requests that we were required to address.
There was a change later to Eden who was very patient with us and addressed all our questions and queries. Much thanks to Eden.

On the last day (completion day), Selina was extremely vital in ensuring that we were able to complete on the day albeit with challenges from other sources. Her communication was very vital in what what needed from us and this ensured that we were able to complete as needed.

I have to say that Sanaul Haque at Davison’s Solicitors has gone above and beyond to help me with the sale of my property and the purchase of my new one.
The journey has been full or obstacles and brick walls at tiles but Sanaul has overcome them all for me.
He would always answer my calls and emails even when the news wasn’t what I wanted to hear.
I can’t recommend Quality Solicitors Davison’s enough!

Nataleigh Logan was my actual solicitor, but Bundala dealt with me throughout most of the process. As a first time single buyer who doesn’t know the first thing about property, I was made to feel relaxed about the whole thing. Although the mortgage offer seemed to take forever, everything on the solicitor side of things was exceptionally fast and simple. Absolutely no complaints from me, and I would recommend to others.

I have been very pleased and impressed with the service provided by Davisons.
Yousaf was very quick to issue a full bundle of documents to our buyers solicitors at a very early stage. It was unfortunate that the buyer's solicitors did not share his eagerness or active communication skills ! Our buyers eventually transferred to another solicitor and the house sale took on a far more active approach. Of equal note, I thought the charges were very reasonable - no "adds-on" for any phone calls or email responses I made. All charges clear upfront.
Yousaf has kept me fully informed at all stages; has responded promptly to any enquiries I have made and brought the sale to a successful conclusion. There was some input from Christopher Watson as well, that was equally professional and timely.
All in all, highly recommended. Straightforward, clear and concise in all dealings regarding my late Aunt's house sale. Would have no hesitation in using their services again, if required.

It was our second time using Quality Solicitors Edgbaston office (Julie and Karen in particular) and we have always found the service to be thorough, helpful and professional. Our purchase this time was more complicated due to a difficult chain but we always felt that it was in hand and from our side everything was covered. We really appreciate the effort of both Julie and Karen considering it was such a busy time to purchase a property.

We are the buyer of a property here and the sellers are using quality solicitors as there conveyancer! To say I am appalled from the little experience with had with them is an understand. We are now ready to complete from our side but have now been waiting almost 4 weeks for the solicitor to stamp a document! It takes two seconds, they have been chased by email by our solicitor 8 times, they have called them several times with it going straight to voicemail.

The sellers themselves have chased and have got that fed up with chasing they have now got the estate agents chasing them on their behalf.

This is causing a lot of stress for both parties I’m sure! Our currently property which we don’t own is now ready to complete and we are having to potentially look at finding a temporary place to live with two dogs which is impossible in the current climate!

I understand the industry is busy, but if you want things to run smoothly you should get them right the first time as we have.

I sold my property in January 2020. I was given some incorrect advise and now I am a significant amount of money down. I have now been told I will need to use one of the companies litigation team at my own expense. An entirely unprofessional service throughout and I would never use them again. The communication has been poor throughout apart from when taking their own fees. For the past 14 months I have had to send weekly emails to find out where my case is only to be told 15 months later I will need to pay more money to use someone else within their firm. Truly appalled by the experience of so called professionals.

Yousaf couldn't of been more helpful. He always made himself available to talk me through anything I wasn't sure of. He explained every detail to me to ensure i was fully understanding of anything I was signing or providing for the new buyers. He went above and beyond at especially towards the end of the sale to ensure the sale was completed without further delay. The service received from Dan Preston was fantastic. As first time buyers, myself and my husband had no clue on the purchasing process but Dan was happy to explain things to us stage by stage. Paperwork was emailed across to us and a copy put in the post so made things easier to complete, sign and return. He also managed to get us a reduced deposit for our exchange of contracts which meant we could keep saving into our help to buy until completion month.

Awesome service altogether. Thank you Dan, you’re a star.

I couldn't have asked for any more, but the aspects that pleased me most were the very obvious level of knowledge; the willingness to stay on top of a difficult situation and especially the communication which was pro-active. Also it was very obvious that Karen, in assisting Julie, was always as aware of the up to date information as Julie herself was. I received exceptional service which was a rare experience for me from a solicitor as evidenced by the incompetence of one of the other party's solicitors.

I am currently a customer of their Sutton Coldfield branch. The level of customer service has been appalling for the last 4 months.
Communication is sporadic at best and, the information I have been given has been innacurate and at times oppostie to what everyone else in the chain is reporting.
I am so disappointed that the very people I am paying for a service are so unproffesional and not one I want to pay a penny for.
The only reason it isnt zero stars is because I havent completed yet so I havent given them the chance to get it right or wrong
Alsothe complaints manager P Smith does not return communications at all when promised and completely ignores any further attempted contact

Not one for giving out reviews, but i feel i have to for Nataleigh Logan (Edgbaston Branch) who was brilliant and thorough when dealing with our Sale and Purchase. After a disastrous time with my formal"Internet chosen" Conveyancer who wasted 6 weeks of my time and Money then i switched to Davisons. Which turned out to be the best decision i have ever made
Nataleigh also managed to get us in before Xmas, so a real plus especially when dealing with a long chain. Also i could not go without mentioning Chloe Wilson who also assisted Nataleigh through the process. Thankyou both very much and especially when i know you worked out of your normal working hours to get the purchase / sale over the line.

This was a more complicated domestic house sale than it was originally thought that it would be. Involving unregistered property, and bridging funding required by the buyer in a difficult financial market. Gary and his team, showed great tenacity and professionalism throughout.
